The original guy who played Adam? I'd welcome him back in a heartbeat....

But like others have said MM is clearly in the drivers seat with this character and it would take an act of God to get him away from Y&R....

Do I hate MM? No....but he comes across very snarky like and cold. With the original Adam you got the sense of this hurt wounded boy with a kind heart who just desperately wanted Victor to love him but instead kept lashing out....

This. And I think even if Engen had stayed in the role, even as much I as liked him better that I have ever Muhney, the way MAB/Hamner/Sheffer/Rauch absolutely destroyed the character in 2009 and 2010 the role would still be dead. I don't pin all the blame on Muhney, although his smugness of back in the spring of 2010 and the whole pimping of the super-villain angle of Adam and his Heineken haunts me to this day.

Face it Michael Muhney's Adam will never, ever be Micahel Zaslow's Roger, Charles Keating's Carl, or even Christian LeBlanc's Michael .

When Scott Bryce was fired, he said in an interview that Goutman kept coming to him asking that Craig be more of a mustache swirling villain. I suspect that this is what Goutman wanted from Paul rather than the more subtle darkness that Holroyd infused into Paul. It was probably one of the reasons that he jumped at hiring Howarth.

I have been thinking of how Adam can be reset. Since this is a soap, I would have everyone discover that the current Adam has been sociopathic imposter when the real Victor Jr. who has been doing volunteer work in a remote part of the Amazon or somewhere else shows up in GC. Fake Adam was a childhood friend who assumed his identity knowing that he would not return for many years or planned to kill him at some point. There would be a confrontation, etc. as Fake Adam is killed off before he can mow down all the Newmans. Victor Jr. then assumes his rightful place in the Newman family,

    • Welcome back, Will and Eric!  They were both used so well today. I’m so glad that they’re going to be here for Marlena and everybody. She definitely needs them. And I love that we got a flashback of Will and John, and that Will credits him as the reason that he’s so courageous. Hopefully, he has scenes with Arianna coming up, and possibly Doug III. I think there’s a storyline there, especially considering what Will said about her being so stubborn and also a little similar to John. Btw, even though Chandler Massey is technically old enough to have an 18 year old child, he definitely doesn’t look it lol  And we got a Will and Paul reunion too. It really is too bad that we can’t get them full time. There’s still so much drama that can be mined from the two of them, and their relationships with Sonny and Andrew, especially now. But with Leo still slithering around, I guess it’s for the best that we’re not getting that

And I love that Will was there for Johnny too. We never really got to see their relationship on screen and I’m glad that we got some of it today. I wish their scenes had been a little longer though. There’s a lot more that they need to discuss about EJ and the rape. But I like that Will comforted him about whether or not he was worthy of having John’s name. And that Marlena was able to shrink him about leaving EJ in the square after he fell.  Eric’s reunion with everybody was really sweet too. I loved the dorky family moment Belle is still being a total douche but I like the drama of her storyline. And I do think that she isn’t being completely stupid, when it comes to EJ. I’m glad that she has Brady though, who was also used very well today. He was breaking my heart in the scene where he was at John’s bedside.  And, congratulations EJ. I think lol  But I have to say, all this talk about John’s miraculous recovery is a little tough to here And, the final scene with John and Marlena
    • Reva should have had a stroke...leaving her permanently MUTE.  Not able to utter a single sound, not even the slightest blubber or gurgle.

And shakin’ me up so, that all I really know is here you come again… and here I go  Enjoy, @Soapsuds
    • I'm still hoping that Leslie turns out to be Sharon's daughter. As I think it could bring another dynamic to the show and the Duprees eventually will need a rival family.

I said Dorian Harewood on Twitter would be good for Dante Green too.

    • Could Nikki just be a big Gram Parsons fan? I think it works for Julie, but they should be doing better by Traci - none of this, from hair to wardrobe, is flattering.
    • To be fair, I don't think she was written out as much as not being written for as they had to gear up for the final episode. I'd assume they might've had the option to use her again but they just didn't find the space.
    • Seems Traci and Julie on Days are both shopping at 'Granny's Garments'. You just can't go wrong with a loose print long line jacket (hides those figure faults, gals), a comfy pair of slacks, a scoop neck T and some chunky accent jewelry. And don't forget your crowning glory-a wash 'n' go hair do.
