John can go wherever he wants as long as it's not Llanview. I would've put up with a short run for a resolution to the John and Natalie story, because I think their fans deserve that after all the [!@#$%^&*] RC has put them through, but for now him going anywhere else works for me.

Ron appears to be handling this with the grace and humility Twitter knows him for.

Todd is taking Starr to LA on his jet and then he's heading to Llanview, Dani called and she's upset

Gotta love that Starr didn't even react to hearing that her sister was upset

I'm glad John has some scenes with Anna before he leaves, Michael and Finola were wonderful together

Yeah, I hope they go full in on an affair, but I am also cautious Frank might try to walk it back. Heck, the marvelous tension between Michael and Chase has definitely cooled down after having it be so blazing hot for months. And Michael feels like he's basically cameo-ing after driving story for a bit of the year.

Yeah, that was another reason (finding Gio) as well to add to the cracks in their marriage.

The crossover isn't an issue for me, it's just the characters chosen. I'd rather have seen Lauren Fenmore crossing over since Chelsea/Kat are doing their line and they'd mentioned Fenmore's in the past.. .while seeing that played out outdated Victor Newman polluting another soap kinda sucks lol

GH: May 2026 Discussion Thread

I think FV has actively pulled his punches with this SL for awhile. He seems hesitant about having Chase actually cheat (or at least is slow walking it) and at this point I won't be shocked if he pulls another Sonny/Carly/Jason situation like in 2021, where Sonny came back from Nixon Falls moments before the newly-married Jason and Carly went to bed and the whole thing was inexplicably immediately forgotten lmao. That was so insane I remember even @Errol turning up to complain about it! (Hi Errol) It took Patrick Mulcahey's arrival for Sonny to dare to bring that situation up again and invoke Carly's lust for Jason while he was off his meds. And we all know what happened to PM.
Frank seems to have an aversion to heavy interpersonal drama with the veteran characters that he never used to earlier on GH or at OLTL. There's now usually a Sidwell or Cyrus or Victor or Cullum for people to rally against instead. The open warfare between Michael, Chase, etc. has not gotten as heated as it could yet. I hope it will, and I am waiting for the affair between Chase and Willow. I also did not think BLQ wanted to adopt after finding Gio. But here we are.
@DRW50 I hope you'll check out Michael's read of Chase from yesterday(?). It was spot on IMO.

I personally thought they were going to go that way with the whole Chase's sperm count and then being demoted while BLQ was over here running Deception well without Maxie angle. And then Chase wanted to adopt and the look on BLQ's face spoke volumes. But it felt like it was dropped.

The steel Setton showed here (and can show as a Quartermaine businesswoman and the breadwinner for her husband) is what should be helping to drive a wedge in her marriage and push the emasculated, self-pitying Chase more towards Willow. But FV hates Brook being even remotely nuanced or controversial as a character, sigh.
It's a messy situation because she's limiting herself despite still being a great actress and we know FV will not challenge her unless she agrees to be.
Michael's searing assessment of BLQ and Chase's marriage and how she has diminished herself for him was 100% right BTW IMO. I've always felt that way about how Chase treats her. Michael's motives are self-serving and Quartermaine manipulative, yes, but he's correct. Pure facts. I don't know why anyone would say otherwise.

Finally found some breathing room with the school year ending to post these, and apologies if they had been posted before, but here are weeks from May 1990, May 1991, May 1993, and May 1996 containing ratings for the final eps of FC, Dallas, Knots, and MSW. Only FC did poorly against a Cheers rerun, Wings, and Twin Peaks despite Knots season finale that night ranking at #13
