Members DramatistDreamer
I've seen a lot of Senior Citizens at my local library using the Internet, some who maneuver just fine on their own, others ask the staff a boatload of questions yet are enthusiastic. I think this would be a great opportunity for some enterprising person/company to help seniors set up a 'stripped down' wireless connection for people who only want limited use, say a few hours a week/month. It would be something like those Jitterbug cellphones specially designed for seniors with the large keypad and/or the budget cellphones that give 20 free hours a month (or something like that) to seniors, people on fixed incomes. A company to work with Google, Apple TV and Roku. A simple design that is easy to navigate, the company could give the customers the option to self install or have it installed for them, decent customer service. My local library also has tutorial programs that teach people the basics of navigating tablets, e-readers, etc and how to download some of the e-books, video offerings on the library's site. Just a thought. I think if this option were available at an affordable price, a lot more elderly would get on the information superhighway without fear. Members Khan
Which makes no sense to me, to be perfect and frank. Unless your computer is from the 1980's, installing iTunes is not harmful to any device, be it desktop, laptop, smartphone, tablet, or Google glasses.
