why did u do this now? Its gonna confuse the hell out of people especially since there are tons of OLTL stuff in the other thread. Errol said we were keeping it together til the shows air in April.

its not hard to confuse when one thread says OLTL and the other says AMC. He said all OLTL discussion should be directed here so that instruction should be easy enough to follow

Why? Anything OLTL related can be discussed. If anyone wants to review the OLTL stuff in the other thread, it's just a click away and having two will cut down on confusion.

So if PP still hasn't come to an agreement with ME and KA, does that mean they are going to recast? I mean isn't time running out and I guess since ME and KA haven't been released, GH plan to make them new characters. I suppose ME could play a relative of Caleb's, but who would KA play?

Thank you. Nothing against AMC, but it does get tiring to read through page after page of talk about it just to find a little tidbit about OLTL. I get that AMC is already in production so there's more talk about but I still don't want to read it. When I got home from work today I read through 15 pages and the only OLTL news I saw was that there's a possibility I might see Melissa Archer's boobs online. Which is fantasic news but still. Glad OLTL has its own thread now.

Ok so U didnt want in the same thread so its easy to read just in one but now if anyone wants to re read any old OLTL stuff they still have too go thru 60 pages in the old thread. Doessnt make sense

Way back in the day, I used to keep extensive scrapbooks on all my favorite soaps, collecting story synopses, reviews, interviews and pictures about each one. It was a fun pastime and kept my memories of the shows clear. Alas, I dropped the hobby in the early 1980s (life got too busy for time-consuming pastimes), and after 45-ish years, most of the scrapbooks have long since disappeared into the Twilight Zone.
There are certain things no one else seems to remember that I am 100% sure about, but in the case of Bill Bauer at Hope's wedding, I'm hesitant to die on that hill because my memory about it is iffy.
If you find that brief clip of the wedding, please let us know.

I hate to pile on your doubt, but I don't recall Bill Bauer being at Alan and Hope's wedding, either.
The wedding episode is not available online, but one of the anniversary compilations includes a brief clip of Mike walking Hope in her wedding gown down the stairs in Bert's house. In fact, someone posted that here fairly recently and I don't remember seeing Bill Bauer among the guests.
Since they had all the guests facing towards the camera and not turning away from it to look at Hope as she came down the stairs (by the way, what was THAT about, that was a very strange choice by the director), again, I'm kind of sure he wasn't there.
However, one can't discount cognetive dissonance--since I didn't expect to see him there, he might not have registered, especially since it's a really short clip. Also, we were too busy making fun of Hope's hideous wedding gown, another reason he might not have registered.
Does anyone remember which anniversary compilation that was? Now I really want to take a good look at it, LOL.

I could see Sherry Mathis as a re-cast Elizabeth during the late 80's/early 90's. Unfortunately, she passed in 1994 at age 44. Mathis was 5 years younger than Dalton.

On soaps, any death is treated as a reversible inconvenience, to be ignored if writers so chose. We saw Brandon Spaulding die, but years later...voila! He was alive again.
Personally, I hate when writers ignore, erase or contradict established canon from the past. I'll go to my grave railing against all the family patriarchs going fishing together during the stupid Ghost in the Attic story, the Brandon-is-alive bullsh*t, the heinous Amanda-is-Brandon's-offspring dreck, etc. TPTB were clearly ignorant and dismissive of the show's legacy and integrity.

The SORASing really breaks my brain when thinking about whether Blake/AM would’ve interacted as cousins, but it seems likely not? I do think it’s funny the show implies both Blake/AM maintaining a close relationship with Ed/being part of the larger Bauer clan in the early 90s when the Bauer were decimated but at the same time downplaying them growing up as part of the same family. But when Rick was gone they had to make AM/Blake like they were Ed’s kids to play up Ed as patriarch.
Awhile back I watched the episode with AM being shot by Blake by accident, and they had to decide if the Brilliant Daniel St Jean would perform surgery. Ed called Hope who abdicated to Ed/Alex to decide which I found a bit amusing. (This was played up for drama very briefly but Alex deferred to Ed’s judgment though Ed pretty clearly didn’t want to decide knowing how that would go with Spauldings if things went wrong haha).

Long and her team seemed to have little knowledge of TGL's past, and they made various continuity blunders during their tenure. They didn't even know certain basic facts. I'd lean towards them not even knowing Simone existed or who she was, but I could be wrong. I tend to doubt Bert mentioned Meta. I loved the character so much, I probably would have screamed with excitement, LOL!
You're so right: as we get older and the decades pass by, the mind and our memory can be quite fickle! I swear that Bill Bauer appeared on the show to attend Hope's wedding to Alan. I even saw a photo at the time of the wedding party and all the guests, with Bill there, among his family. Unfortunately, no one else seems to remember this and it's gotten me doubting my sanity!😆

I was thinking that, too. Maybe instead of a murder mystery, it would have been "Who shot Andy?" Or "Who shoved Andy so hard he hit his head and is now in a coma?" Or something like that.
Yeah, he made him SO bad, SO fast. He's beating up Katie, he's gathering blackmailing info, I think he was embezzeling, he was chasing Hope because he thought he would get some of her eventual divorce settlement...Roger did a lot of that stuff, too, but it built up over years, not months.
