why did u do this now? Its gonna confuse the hell out of people especially since there are tons of OLTL stuff in the other thread. Errol said we were keeping it together til the shows air in April.

its not hard to confuse when one thread says OLTL and the other says AMC. He said all OLTL discussion should be directed here so that instruction should be easy enough to follow

I never saw an article or quoted, audio or video interview about TSJ wanting to rejoin OLTL.

Why? Anything OLTL related can be discussed. If anyone wants to review the OLTL stuff in the other thread, it's just a click away and having two will cut down on confusion.

So if PP still hasn't come to an agreement with ME and KA, does that mean they are going to recast? I mean isn't time running out and I guess since ME and KA haven't been released, GH plan to make them new characters. I suppose ME could play a relative of Caleb's, but who would KA play?

Thank you. Nothing against AMC, but it does get tiring to read through page after page of talk about it just to find a little tidbit about OLTL. I get that AMC is already in production so there's more talk about but I still don't want to read it. When I got home from work today I read through 15 pages and the only OLTL news I saw was that there's a possibility I might see Melissa Archer's boobs online. Which is fantasic news but still. Glad OLTL has its own thread now.

Ok so U didnt want in the same thread so its easy to read just in one but now if anyone wants to re read any old OLTL stuff they still have too go thru 60 pages in the old thread. Doessnt make sense

I know his two leading ladies had their issues with him, but I never had a problem with Robinson as Rick onscreen. I think he gave exactly what the role asked for. I can see how others might find him stiff. It was a mistake putting him with Judith Chapman, lol.

I'm glad I found it, too!
Some people here mentioned they would have liked Jed Allen as a possible Alan recast. I think someone even said he was in the running for the part at one point. I agree, he would have been a very good Mike. I see him as playing a good guy more than a bad guy.
I was always a little surprised that Stewart was popular as Mike, exactly for these reasons. I believe he fit a male "type" that was popular during the 70s that didn't carry over into the 80s as much.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread

Best scenes of maybe the entire year (that I’ve seen) just might be Megan learning she is sick after Andrew takes her to the hospital and Larry assumes Viki has already told Megan. Jessica Tuck killed it as Megan went in on Larry then broke down in Andrew’s arms.
I really, really loved Max with Megan and Gabrielle but I don’t like anyone with Max, save Blair since I’ve seen some of 1992. I was just liking Lee Ann when she went back to him and now here we are with these cringe scenes of Max and Luna bonding. Doesn’t feel like Luna at all, especially knowing Lee Ann is with him.
Nice to see some balance to the drama with Cain Rogan sneaking about in a jam.

Zaslow was an incredibly charismatic man who exuded depth and emotion. We were so lucky to be blessed with his talent for so long.
ARGH! All this talk about vintage TGL makes me long to go back and rewatch every single vintage episode I have access to! When this show was good, it was a class act.

Although Raines was 14 years younger than Don Stewart, I also thought he would make a better Mike than Alan.
That being said, if Stewart were never to be invited back, the actor whom I wanted as Mike Bauer was Jed Allen, whose appropriate age, talent, affability and popularity would have made him a good fit for the role.
I always found Stewart to be somewhat aloof, so with a stiff, morose, listless Ed in Peter Simon, the Bauers could have used a mellower, more affable Mike.

I guess in his return it starts out that way a bit with the Brent scheming, but it’s basically that AM makes him feel pushed aside so he decides to bring him down within a week and of course ignoring the initial rape accusation but is in too deep to back out. I do think that plot is where the acting comes in because I think showing more vulnerability as far as feeling cast off or being at all convincing that he actually cares about AM. There’s no real feeling of remorse/panic coming from RR as he sinks further into being stuck with Brent.
Zas was so good at projecting that affection Roger feels for his kids that even when he’s royally screwing them over a part of you doesn’t want the bond severed, whereas you’re basically rooting for AM/Phillip each time they try to break away.

I have a feeling that the Ashley/Derek/Grayson thing will tie into whatever Jacob is going undercover for. And I wonder if the twist will be that Grayson is the one we should keep our eye on and not Derek.

Chris Bernau and Beverlee McKinsey were so unique and strong as Alan and Alexandria, recasting the roles was always going to be a tough, iffy proposition. Sadly, to me, neither Ron Raines nor Marj Dusay ever worked out in the roles. I felt they were both poorly recast.
Oh, oh, oh! I am so glad you found that photograph of Ed's and Rita's wedding. What a wonderful shot! Thank you so much.
I found both Ron Raines and Marj Dusay to be weak miscasts for Alan and Alexandra, but the show kept them forever, anyway. Shades of Peter Simon as Ed. Amelia Heinle has been playing Victoria on Y&R forever, too, so inexplicable casting choices are not limited to TGL.
