Members Ryan Chamberlain
The descriptions of the opening makes it seem like it will be like the last one on ABC. Which, I liked. I'm just gonna miss the freaking theme song. Like really bad. This new one doesn't do it too much for me.

Members Khan
Me neither. I don't find it very evocative of anything. (The treacly title treads on thin ice as well.) It's more like background music for some coffee shop scene on a CW series.
Members EricMontreal22
I kinda agree--this is the only aspect of the reboot I'm kinda disappointed in. It's by no means awful but it's just sorta neither here nor there for me.

Webmaster Errol Posted April 26, 2013 Author Webmaster Share Posted April 26, 2013 OMG! Thank you! IIRC, Evelyn is with JOE!
Members KMan101
Same. The new music is fine. I don't hate it and I could end up loving the new opening, but I will miss the old theme. Big time.
Members Vee
I will miss the old theme, but I do actually quite like the new song.
Members Khan
Perhaps, if PP had the rights to the Barber/Rose theme, they could have done a new arrangement in the same style as "We Are the World," or whatever it is? Something sort of...OK Sweetheart-esque? Just a thought.
Members EricMontreal22
They do have the rights I think. Someone at PP confirmed that when they licensed the show it came as a complete package--so I would assume that meant music written for the show? Members skiman12082004
I didn't see Bianca or Griffin in the opening. However, Joe was with the Evelyn character referred to as " Dr. Joe".
Members Khan
That's great, but...why the excitement? Am I missing something? Is this referring to another post?
Webmaster Errol Posted April 26, 2013 Author Webmaster Share Posted April 26, 2013 See what skiman wrote above. I remembered that Evelyn was with Joe. If it wasn't said before, btw...the opening does list character names. OLTL's does not.
Members R Sinclair
I had written a comment about something prematurely, sweetie. Yes, I'm flawed...
Members ellabelle
If the theme song is that "We are the love we give" song they used in the promo videos, then I like it. Yes, I liked the familiar music of AMC's old theme song, but I like the new one too. Really it's not a huge make or break thing for me.
