I don't think there can be enough excitement about these shows. It is an absolutely unheard-of revival that none of us saw coming.

I don't mind the excitement, per se. My only fear is that this is overhyping.

A valid (yet silly) comparison is Lady Gaga - who overhypes everything from her videos to albums & songs ("Anthem of the decade!"). When I see/hear the final product, however, it's "meh" (because you expect something so incredibly spectacular and you end up being letdown).

i deleted the "personal" posts. I have the offensive gene built in and sometimes I do it without even realizing I'm doing it. Let me phrase it differently.

Nobody is stopping them. I don't think anybody who is current;y rolling their eyes and laughing a little at this point is going on Twitter telling the actors to "Stop already!" They're just rolling their eyes and laughing a little at this point.

Less is more for me in terms of excitement. When there's too much, it actually turns me off. It's like ice-cream. I love it but if I eat too much I start feeling sick and I don't want to see it for a while.

Yeah it's starting to wear a little thin cause it's so over the top, I wonder if a year from now they'll still be all cheerleadery

Exactly. There's a difference between excitement and mania. One is contagious, the other requires medication.

I'm thrilled that the actors are having such a good time but when I read these tweets I wonder if and when they're going to burn out.

I agree to a point, Vee.

PC brings up a good comparison with Lady Gaga. Whenever something is over-hyped (accurate or not) I tend to become hesitant because it just starts feeling fake for me and the actual product usually ends up falling short. Sometimes I'm looking forward to a new television show but then months of promo and spin precede it and I find the gas is gone by the time the Enter sign lights up, so to speak... That's why I say less is more.

That said, I'm not going to go on Twitter and tell any of them to Shut Up. I would never. I don't think anybody that is at the eye-roll & laugh point would ever either.

I simply think that after years of service and shoddy treatment and mismanagement by ABC, waiting for the axe to fall, feeling devalued, disenfranchised and cast aside, that these people have every right to revel in it as much as they like.

I'm sure the finished product will not be to everyone's taste. I might very well not like it myself, or at least take umbrage with some stories and choices. But this is bigger than that. These people seem so happy to finally be valued for their own merits once again, as opposed to being treated like a diseased limb the network was dying to amputate, that regardless of the final product I can't do anything but be happy for them.

A part of me wonders if the cast is doing all of this rah, rah, sis, boom, bah because Prospect Park isn't. I could even see them being encouraged by PP to ride the new wave of promo and hit the Twitterverse (*gags on "Twitterverse"*). Look at this thread, these tweets are certainly keeping fish on hooks. Had PP not opened up that photo shoot to the media, we would have virtually nothing from them save for cast lists.

It's natural for any young actor who booked his/her first big gig to be super excited. And I'm sure none of us are nowhere as annoyed by their Tweets as their out of work actor friends. It's like:

As others have said, I find Debbi Morgan's enthusiasm the most striking. She's making some very bold statements and I trust her judgment. I can hardly wait to see.
