Soapnet's "50 years in 50 hours" GH marathon

The PJ/Steven Lars saga ran for about 2-3 years. You can find the LSD clip on Youtube. I don't want to clog up the thread with videos but if you can't find it PM me and I'll try to find it.

Phil was a bastard, sometimes a complicated one, sometimes not. Unfortunately none of his era is around, aside from some episodes of the early days.

Well, that's unfortunate. I'd have liked to have met Phil after they developed him. I see inklings of this in the '63 episodes, but something tells me that they barely scratched the surface on who he was.

Thank you Carl, but I'll look it up after I've finished watching this marathon.

I have like two episodes from the end of his run in the mid 70s from when the episodes aired here in the early 80s, but it's a master tape from the telly station my aunt worked at and the quality is just awful. You can barely tell who they are or what they're saying. I'm working on getting those tapes all cleaned up as best I can and then I'll post them all on YouTube. It's really interesting to see GH before the Quartermaines, the WSB crew, and Luke & Laura.

The second wife was named Diana. I can't remember her original last name but she became Diana Taylor (after marrying Dr. Peter Taylor, who was also one of Jessie's husbands). Phil also raped Jessie while they were married. She became pregnant with with Phil's baby at that time and was still pregnant when she was engaged to Lee Baldwin. I actually believe her marriage to Lee was stopped at the last minute because of Phil's return and the birth of their child (who later died). I don't think Jessie was married when she died. The last relationship I remember her having was with Dan Rooney who later married Aunt Ruby.

Maynard was Diana's maiden name.

I could be wrong about the marriage but Dan was dating Aunt Ruby the last I remember. Phil started out as gray but was a complete baddie toward the end. I don't think poor Jessie ever got over him. She really loved him.

When they turned Phil into a bad guy, did they do it in a way that threw him under the bus or was it a natural progression? How did he die, anyway?

Good. I'd like to meet the woman that had Tony's heart (as well as BJ's mother) before Bobbie.

Hilary Edson played Tania. She was later Eve on Guiding Light.

Tania was killed in a car accident while she was out shopping for Tony's birthday. On St. Patrick's Day, no less. I think BJ was only a year old sad.png .

It says so on Wikipedia, but most seem to think that a Liz fan listed it there and it somehow was accepted as fact by the site. AFAIK otherwise, her name has never been mentioned.

*sigh* @ this show not caring enough to tie this simple loose end....

I don't even think she was a year old. She was more like 6 months.

I wonder how Tania would've fared on this show if they hadn't decided to kill her off.

I can't wait. I've always wanted to see more of this era. Please tell me it has that Judith McConnell character (I can't remember her name on GH - she killed Phil).

Hilary Edson wanted to leave, I think, so they would have had to recast.
