This was their only scene, repeated for months on end. There was no "grey." The show made it clear that Will adored EJ and that anyone who adored EJ was right and good. Will was written as a little darling. If the only reason you care about a character is because you're waiting for him to !@#$%^&*] the show's leading man, then you're out of luck. And saying that mental illness is a plausible reason for years of ridiculous behavior is a big reach. Bibel apparently forgot that MAB repeatedly trotted out the "mental illness" story to justify everything from Sharon having sex with three different men at the same time (two of them married, one of them her husband's brother), to having sex with a man for no other reason than his dog died. Him being anything other than 100% straight was mostly down to a few stale innuendos they tossed out to justify flushing the actual gay storyline down the toilet. And as a result of flushing the story, the only time viewers gave a crap about Will was when he got to star in their porn fantasy. Bibel is basically saying she's upset because DAYS didn't devote enough time to the dumbass twink and EJ's rape victim mooning over him. But DAYS did a ton of this in 2012, even having said dumbass twink going around shouting that EJ was his true father (after saying Rafe was his true father - maybe he was grading on pectorals) and they got very little out of it in return, other than lousy ratings and the usual fan wars that EJ has been immersed in since somewhere around 2006.
