GH: Discussion for the Month of January

There's no extra money. Burton's wasn't as much as people over exaggerate and there were budget cuts.

Between Steve & John Ingle, there was quite a substantial amount of money there. And GH has lost no crew members due to budget cuts, unlike DAYS recently did.

Thank you, Mr. Q.

Also, if Howarth, Alderson, & Easton do end up leaving for PP, that frees up a lot of money, as they have the same contracts at GH that they had at OLTL.

ABC increased GH's budget for 2013 to help with the 50th Anniversary celebrations.

LOL it was only 2 posts.

Anyway.... GH is ABC's first program to hit 50 years isn't it. I can see why they would put extra money into it.

Except you forget all the vet returns aren't cheap.

But aside from Finola Hughes, they're all on recurring. They're only getting paid for the episodes they appear in, not for the whole year like everyone else.

ABC World News came on in 1953, but after that, GH is the oldest.

I just received a very odd email from the Emmy Award process board.. I know this is off topic but they just asked me to join does that mean I can vote for the Daytime Emmys?

Well they can't be that expensive if they're only on for 6 episodes. Getting rid of 3 contract OLTL actors would free up a lot of money that should deservedly go more towards the GH vets as they approach their 50th anniversary.
