HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

With #PP taking #AMC & #OLTL online what are your thoughts on the shows involving profanity & nudity?

Profanity? I'm fine with it, although it'd be weird to hear La Kane call Brooke a c*unt.

Nudity? Eh, not so much.

Only one more person has to sign and then I'll watch with happiness. Pretty sure everyone knows who that is.

Also. About the profanity thing. I wanna hear Dr. Dave say the f word!!!

I'm not a prude but I think the shows would be best served by sticking to basic cable standards for language/nudity. You can have good drama without going R-rated. Look at Breaking Bad or Mad Men. Of course we aren't talking about that kind of storytelling but If the stories are compelling, then the language is a secondary concern. Nudity strikes me as a potential pitfall. I'm not tuning in to the Pine Valley version of Red Shoe Diaries.

This pretty much describes the last 5 years of ALL MY CHILDREN on ABC.

I wouldn't mind a little more profanity in terms of they can say bitch and words like that more. And I wouldn't mind the occasional FUUCK YOU.

I don't care if they had profanity/tasteful nudity as long as it was not gratuitous and right for the story. I don't really think they will do much if any of that, though.

Love that Debbi has signed on as I still have a crush on herwub.png

If this goes off, I wonder if they would have people come back for flashbacks even if they don't sign on for the show at large?

Who had the gall to suggest that Erica Kane take out her titties?

Please don't repeat this: I always fell for cougars!

Shhhh!

And me? I enjoy the days when you had only three networks to choose from. It might be a tad too old school for some of you here, but there it is.

Officially trying too hard.

Yes,cougars are attractive to me too. But imagine an AMC with nudity and profanity. Do you really wanna see Erica Kane, titties out, shouting "!@#$%^&*] ME RAW, JACKSON!".

Just no.

I agree, though I could totally hear Tad and Jesse calling David a "cocksucker".

LOL except it doesn't. It was the most chaste show on daytime during those 5 years...

Nudity didn't seem to help any of the 80s attemps at cable soaps like New Day in Eden.

I wanna hear David say "!@#$%^&*] you !@#$%^&*]" to Jake. LMAO!

That rhymes with "duck you, grassmole"
