WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

everyone keeps saying that ABC and PP are making money out of this deal? What about the actors? Sounds like they are the ones who are going to lose their income, PP will survive without 3 characters they have hundreds to choose from over a 40 plus year history

GH has other characters too those belong to OLTL. They were just on loan.

No the actors aren't working with PP.....their contracts are with ABC.

I'd be interested to find out where the actors want to go...its obvious where.

you just want John back because you think he needs to kiss that liar Natalie's ass, after what she did to him with Brody, he needs to kick her to the curb, oh I hope GH keeps Easton and finds an actor with the talent of say the actor who plays Jack to play John, let him read off cue cars and everything, can't wait to see that couple fail big time, do you think Melissa Archer wants a recast John or do you think she would like to work with Michael Easton or maybe get a brand new love interest if she can't work with Easton's John?

No I don't. IMO, GH breathed new life into these characters and I stand by what I says, which is they should stay on GH as those characters and nothing else. There is nothing left for John or Todd to do on One Life. And I damn sure don't wanna see them latched onto Blair or Gnat again.

It's like some people think that these three characters not being on OLTL will be make or break and it won't. For every Starr there is a Sarah. For every John there is a Rafe or Ed. And for every Todd there is an anti-villain that can be created. Like I stated before, there is a plethora of old characters that can fill the "void" that would be left without these three.

They're departure won't make or break GH either. GH will be fine. The saviors of the soap world are reviving PC. The livers never nudged the numbers. The characters belong to OLTL. Maybe the recasts will freshen them up. I quite look forward to seeing a new face for John.

ABC has a contract with Michael Easton, Roger Howarth and Kristen Alderson. As long as ABC deems it, they will have jobs. However, Prospect Park licensed the rights to their characters. If they (and ABC) don't move over to OLTL via Prospect Park, ABC is contractually obligated to create new characters (or old) for them. Otherwise, if they lose their jobs...it's ABC's fault. They knew it was a loan and not something permanent, yet they still brought them onto the show.

so how good are these characters going to be with recasts? Especially John and Todd, you can't just recast Michael Easton and Roger Howarth and with who? Some bad acting newbie who needs a job bad? The reason the characters are so important are because of the actors

There are a lot better actors in New York than Easton.

Do we know that they are going to lose income? Maybe these actors will just do a quick stint with PP then return to GH. That would be the equivalent of working a temp job over the holidays. Or maybe PP has the cash to offer them something comparable. I don't know what PP's budget is. Do you? Honestly, I don't give a damn where they end up but can we stop acting like they're being sold on an auction block and forced to pick cotton in the Mississippi sun? These are working actors - two of them over the age of 40 - who unfathomably have two companies fighting over them. Pardon me if I don't rend my garments in sympathy for poor, exploited ME, RH and KA.

But PP aren't being bullies necessarily.....they are just wanting that is rightfully theirs, per their agreement with ABC.

The recasts won't freshen them up, it'll be the one thing that makes people tune out. You don't recast a character like Todd, TSJ in the role(the writing for him) is proof of that.

Again these characters belong where they're accepted and in general from what I"m reading most GH'ers only want Starr gone, and seem to want Todd and John to stick around

So should Skye go back to AMC cause she belongs to them(as she originated there)

Michael Easton signed before with Prospect Park the first time they made these online plans. Now, he can't just go back to "One Life to Live" even if he wanted to because he's under contract with ABC.

ABC would have to let him move over and he'd have to agree. We don't, currently, know the view points of the actors on this matter.
