HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I do too, PP has to know this is not going to go over well with alot of people. They're already hurting building up good will after the fiasco last year, this won't help matters any

I am not watching one second of them and they can all go to hell, everyone at PP, anyone ever thought if they weren't liars twice over this wouldn't have happened, first saying the shows would be on air after AMC and OLTL ended and then saying we are not doing them anymore, they are bullies and they are liars and three actors lost their jobs because of them, they should be so proud, they don't care about the shows or the actors they care about the fact that they want to win

I doubt that. If they want to win they would have to have some passion in the shows. They were over there heads the first time and now they have proved they have financial backing. If they did not care why would they attempt to resurrect the shows again? If they did not care there would be not casting calls, no writers or at least no writers with with a good rep (OLTL Anyway), and they would not have hired within (Jennifer Peppermen and Ginger Smith).

commute |kəˈmyo͞ot|

verb

1 [ no obj. ] travel some distance between one's home and place of work on a regular basis: she commuted from Westport in to Grand Central Station.

People in the business commute all the time. Just because PP failed last time does not deem them as liars. I hope you are not one of those people who think PP is doing this to get a rise out of soap fans because that is idiotic.

PP is paying way less than they're getting at GH, it's not worth the commute IMO

I'm not saying that PP isn't always on the up and up, but I blame a lot of this on ABC....you lease OLTL and its characters to PP then you go ahead and use some of them on GH knowing that if PP got their act together that you would have to those characters back at some point. So why even use them in the first place?

well SOD got comment from ABC and they said that they are excited about them all being on the show and that sources say all three will play new characters on GH and PP wants to recast all three roles on OLTL, so since they have a story already airing to make ME a new character, why is he being forced off? Can someone explain this to me?

I don't agree, ABC owns the characters, they shouldn't have to sit around wait for PP to get their heads out of their arses. For all any of us knew this wasn't happening ever.

"Sources" have been saying that for weeks. I don't think that's ever going to happen.

*claps*

ABC owns them. No idea why they cannot use them. This is the biggest clusterfuck ever.

It's pure stupidity, Todd is nothing without RH, KA is too well known as Starr(and RH as Todd) for recasts to work or for them to play other characters on GH. John could be recast, but I don't think it would go over well either.

none of these actors signed the first time around, they shouldn't be expected too this time around either

Michael Easton signed on the first time around.
