HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

From rumblings I still think it's pretty likely we'll see her paired up with a certain writer with some ties to AMC's past.

As for Nelson--just don't let it bother you. There's no way anyone can look at those tweets and think he's sane. (is he mad because you referenced an article that mentions something he said in his pay "ezine"?)

He's a self-centered attention whore who expects everyone to kiss his arse, ignore him Errol, don't give that troll attention

So they want edgy but hire MMcP for AMC who wouldn't know edgy if it smacked her in the face mellow.pngblink.png

They're planning on shooting AMC by the end of Feb? They don't even have a full writing team.

The most interesting tidbit from the interview to me is that that the shows will be 25 minutes sans commercials; certainly more time than I was expecting.

Given that Thom Racina saw the new locale and that he and susie r writing like mad & have 15 actors I bet they start filming soon. I wonder if maybe ABC could be asking them to wait a bit. Maybe they need John Todd & Starr for the Nurses Ball which tapes end Feb/Early March

I'm surprised OLTL's film start date is unknown when they seem to have more actors signed, head-writers plus some script writers, etc, yet AMC has a tentative start date.

I do like that the head of PP doesnt want the shows to do edgy for the sake of edgy and that new sets are being constructed as we speak. I will assume that the multiple option for viewer route might eventually involve a cable outlet (probably once the shows are up and running).

Oh, lord, why is he throwing shade too? How are they even friends again? Does anyone remember Jamey's insane twitter rants about Branco which went on for like eight days?

This is why I turned my back on "journalism" in the 21st century.

Well Only one of the shows has to be in production by the end of February for the deal with ABC to stick

I rememeber the one day both her having a twitter whinefest together about how CBS PR refuses to reach out to them and give them scoops.
