HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Also dream hopes? Cord and Tina and at least one of their kids, preferably CJ. I would love it if C&T became one of the show's tentpole couples to help bridge the gap between the younger and older generation. We watched Tina grow from teenager to woman and she is still very young at heart. Id love it if they agreed to recur. I dont need to see them leading story but i think they'd make for strong supporting characters given their ties.

If this includes bringing back their best friends Max & Gabrielle and reuniting the Fab Four, I am SO in! biggrin.png

What can I say? I dream big. smile.png

First day on the job, and already, they've hit the bottle. ;)

based on the state of daytime in recent years, I'm sure this scene is pretty common behind the scenes

This must be the soap equivalent of wearing the t-shirt of the band you're actually seeing in concert.

Did anyone ever post Susie's FB post about OLTL?

“Well peeps, I have quite an announcement to make. I will be co-headwriting One Life to Live with my writing partner of many years, Thom Racina as a new web series. It’s a golden opportunity for me to help resuscitate and reinvent the show that is dearest to my heart as well as being on the frontier of the new form of television. Agnes Nixon, who’s on board said this was like the days when the shows went from radio to television. And that’s exactly what it feels like. History in the making. The timing for me is perfect as I’ve done all the work on my book that I can, now it’s in the editors hands and then the agents and so while I await its fate, I get to be back in LLanview for awhile. Truly a dream come true. What a way to start 2013. Wish us luck!”

But what about AMC's writers?

They don't have any swag.

Also, I wonder if she is referring to AMC/OLTL/PP here?

Looking to rent an office that can double as an audition room? Anybody have space they are dying to rent out? Suggestions are welcomed.

And longtime OLTL Head Stage Manager Alan Needleman has said that he has been in talks with PP about joining them....

Alan wishing you and yours the best for the new year. I just read that they are bringing back OLTL with Jen Pepperman as the Head. She was smart and talented and I think she can do it.Myself I cant wait to retire this year and move to the OLTL retirement state. All the best Antnee

The Billy description sounds exactly like Joey Buchanan to me. Read it again.

I can't blame them for recasting Matthew; Eddie is not coming back.

I still think this is pleasing-sounding horseshit, but we'll see.
