IKR, Vee? If nothing else, these sons of bitches have done their homework. ;)

No, you can't expect lightning to strike twice. However, if PP and OLTL had to go with a HW'ing team with experience, then I'm glad they chose Susan Bedsow Horgan and Thom Racina. As I've said before on numerous posts, Horgan is my favorite soap EP after Robert Calhoun. In fact, despite some questionable story decisions, her time as OLTL's EP was the only period I actually enjoyed HW Michael Malone's work. Moreover, as both a producer and a writer, she has proven herself to be someone possessing intelligence and good taste, qualities that OLTL needs badly in order to succeed online.

OTOH, Thom Racina might seem like an odd choice, given his history of action-driven stories. But it's no secret either how I feel about '80's DAYS, when he was co-HW'ing the show with Sheri Anderson and Leah Laiman. (In case you don't know or don't remember, I freaking loved that period as a kid.) Now, were they merely following GH's lead (which they, in fact, helped establish)? Perhaps. But I don't think I'd be exaggerating if I said DAYS managed to beat GH at their own game by placing greater emphasis on community, family and romance (not to mention, more exhilarating adventure sequences).

When I first got into OLTL during the Lord of the Banner s/l, I didn't even realize that Victor had been alive on the show at one point. I asked my mom was he ever on the show and she was like, "Oh my God! YES!" I thought he was the most fascinating dead guy I'd ever witnessed on a TV show. The writing for him was just that layered and good. He never needed to be resurrected in 2003. Keep him dead. Make that some elaborate Mitch scheme. Reinvest in the Dorian/Viki history even. If they're going to go there, just do it right once and for all. Fix it good and let it be done for good.

All this talk back and forth about EPs and HWs and what they want to do and who they want to bring back and what stories they want to rewrite doesnt matter squat cause it is no longer on tv. What the fans will remember is the ending and its history on tv not internet [!@#$%^&*]...lol

Oh my God, the first time I saw MM I was immediately reminded of TSJ. Oy. Not to mention the fact that they played similar characters both named "Victor Jr." While I think in terms of looks he is a suitable replacement, I do NOT care for the things I hear about MM in terms of his ego and attitude and I would not want that for OLTL. SBH adores RH, I think she would try her best to work with that Todd first (and she's well aware of all of the issues RH had with playing Todd back in the day so she'd probably be very good to him in the writers room).

NB once suggested Charles Keating and RS really loved that idea. I wouldn't min this if they were doing a flashback story, but I don't need Victor to be alive. Like, really.

HA! My bad. Well I'm glad I got to get that out at any rate. :P
