Did anyone else know this "Modern Family" connection: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Ariel-Winter-Abuse-1055669.aspx

Who knew Shanelle Workman (ex- Sarah/Flash, OLTL) came from a family of child actors. Her brother was also the actor that played Pugsly in the 90's Adam's Family films.

So sad to see what is happening to her family today. Luckily the siblings have each other the lean on.

I remember that she was Jimmy Workman's sibling from The Addams Family, yeah.

In 2003, one of Shanelle's little sisters also played the young Sarah Roberts circa 1993 in a quickly mocked-up "flashback" to the '93 anniversary storyline with C.J. and Al trapped in a well. I always really liked Shanelle as Sarah - I thought they were wrong to get rid of her the way they did after a botched intro storyline.

Kobe and JFP both got the ratings up initially but eventually caused long-term damage. I say Kobe gets more of a pass than JFP because Kobe set in motion characters and storylines that carried GL through its final 25 years whereas JFP decisions lead to GL limping along in its final 15 years.

I often find that being a good head-writer doesn't automatically mean you'll be like that on every soap.
Wendy Riche I could see being a good EP for GL because she would have focused on the emotion and idealism about finding your own individual light.
In terms of head-writer, it would need to be a head-writer that could specialize in gothic overtones that got established back in the Dobson era (and possibly earlier), and continued on through the Curlee era of the early 90s. Perhaps, Agnes Nixon could have come back to right the ship and trained someone on the writing team to step up to continue that tone.

I think the writers are going to go in that direction. Andre was acting muy shady about the photo shoot with Forrester Creations. I’m sure we were supposed to pick up on that. But since it seems we have only one or two major storylines on this show at a time, the writers are waiting to develop the Andre story.

Since Roger lived with Adam and Barbara when he was a teen, I always assumed his mother was dead.
I can't recall anyone mentioning his mother.
It's Kobe. She decimated the Bauers, along will almost every character created by the Dobsons and Marland. Even though they had that shot in the arm for a couple of years (which, honestly, I think anyone could have accomplished because Marland got too caught up in his pet storylines at the end) over the long term it caused a lot of problems.
Killing Maureen was definitely an idiot decision, maybe we would have gotten better Alan and Alex recasts with a different EP, but compared to dumping most of the Bauers, Reardons, and Marlers, it was not nearly as bad.

I didn't catch that one, even though I saw the scene. Ridiculous writing. All genres of writing use artistic license. But this is not artistic license -- it is lazy, horrible writing that does not respect the intelligence of the audience.

When Hungary's new prime minister, Péter Magyar, was sworn in, they played the Hungarian national anthem in Parliament. And also the European Anthem (Beethoven's Ode to Joy).
In addition to the EU anthem, Magyar requested that anthems of ethnic minorities be played.

They played the anthem of the Székely people in Hungary, who primarily live in Romania.

What's even more amazing is the honoring of the Roman community

In Parliament today, they played the unofficial anthem of Hungary's Roma community. The playing of this last anthem in particular is an unprecedented gesture of respect toward the community of roughly 700,000 Roma in Hungary.
