November 2, 20232 yr Member Nice to have this confirmed, but I question if colorization is right for this:
November 2, 20232 yr Author Member I respect that choices like this or saying the Ncuti season will be "season 1" are to try to bring in new viewers, and I hope it works, but none of that is for me (especially colorization). Edited November 2, 20232 yr by DRW50
November 2, 20232 yr Member In fairness, looking at the details it seems like it's simply part of a special broadcast event for the anniversary (along with cutting the runtime down) and is not the new normal for that story. So that I can understand, to show "The Daleks" to families at home on an anniversary. The 'Season 1' thing seems a lot murkier as to what is actually happening, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's a word choice Disney asked for to separate things for branding.
November 2, 20232 yr Member A BBC podcast about the DW "Wilderness Years" will be available in a couple weeks. I hope we are able to find a way to listen to it across the pond.

November 7, 20232 yr Member Gatwa's first full episode is confirmed to be Christmas Day, and it's titled "The Church on Ruby Road".
November 8, 20232 yr Member Per this new casting notice, apparently UNIT will continue to have a lasting presence in Ncuti's first series (though we did know Kate would appear): Quote Finally, Alexander Dervrient plays Colonel Ibrahim, part of the UNIT team and will also appear in the Season One next year. Phil Collinson said: "Ibrahim is a UNIT stalwart, serving loyally alongside Kate Lethbridge-Stewart. But even he's barely prepared for the dangers to come..." Interestingly for @DRW50: John MacKay appears to be playing the same character he played in RTD's Nolly, which suggests a crossover between RTD's Who and his film about Crossroads, something he recently hinted at. November 8, 20232 yr Author Member @Vee That's a neat crossover. I still avoid most RTD related projects so didn't know that.
