Guess Eric Braeden accidentally spilled a scoop on twitter, apparantly the Newman Ranch burns down. NB is saying it's due to a pissed off diva, set won't be rebuilt

sigh....this is pretty sad...The Newman Ranch was such an iconic set for many years and now they say they won't rebuild it....Say hello to the real JFP....

I guess it will be sort of worth it to see Victor's reaction.

I just went through his twitter...he says it was just a joke?...

He could be trying to not get in trouble. I don't think it was a joke, the rumors were out there before he tweeted.

I don't buy that an entire set would be destroyed because of a "diva." Not with the budget issues on today's shows. If the set is going bye-bye it sounds like Branco is pointing fingers.

Me neither. If anything, JFP would have eighty-sixed the diva (divo?) and then had Billy and Victoria move onto the Newman Abbott ranch.

The whole idea of Braeden destroying sets on a whim is amusing more than anything else. I'm just done with these gossip games. I'd rather read a Chris Engen gossip column at this point.

If Braeden is destroying sets then someone direct him toward GC Athletic Club or Crimson Lights.

I guess I took it to mean that a character acting a diva destroys it, not an actor. Either way it will be sad to see it go.

That makes sense. I guess that tells you my opinion of these scoops. If Branco claimed Roberta Leighton torched the set as part of a feud against MTS, I wouldn't even blink. I'm just sick of his stuff and don't buy any of it even if it's true.

I guess if it's story related Sharon does it.

I'm annoyed they took my Tracy Quartermaine idea.

I'm telling you, the day is coming when the whole freaking show takes place inside that damn GCAC dining room.

And when it does? They might as well change the name of the show from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to, well, this:

Yes and update the sets to look like they are from this decade!

Barrie was actually the one who suggested the Victor/Sharon marriage.

Gail Edwards, on the other hand, suggested Genie Francis study the work of Chi Chi la Rue. Thanks a lot, Gail.
