Another fantastic show today! Loved Edward/Monica/Tracy/Patrick/Emma scenes. Emma saying if they'll see mommy again. :( Shawn rescuing Alexis and then kissing her at the end was romantic. It was nice to see Sonny/Jax working together. I can definitely see GH submitting this episode for Drama and directing.

Your original response to dragonflies when she mentioend Johnny killing Hope and Cole was that it was inadvertenly but its not as if Johnny hasnt murdered deliberelty before.

That wasn't what her comment was originally in reference to though, the Cole/Hope accident was exactly what it was, an accident. You cannot compare that to Todd trying to kill Johnny today in this episode as that was deliberate. Thus the comparison does not fit. Todd purposely tried to kill Johnny today. Johnny did not purposely try to kill Hope and Cole.

He purposely tried to kill his grandfather on more than one occasion and this time he killed 2 innocent lives instead. He doesnt get a free pass because they werent his target. Even after he caused this accident, he still proceeded to murder Anthony.

Who said he gets a free pass? It's clear that Johnny feels guilty about what happened and he has never said that he was justified (as Todd has for killing Victor), regardless though Johnny did not mean to kill Hope and Cole. Todd did mean to kill Johnny today though, that was the point in this entire discussion. The two situations are incomparable. Which is the main driving point here.

You keep ignoring that this "accident" was caused by a deliberate act to kill! Its not like Johnny was randomly driving and caused the car to go off a cliff bc mistakenly was in the wrong lane. What he tried to do to Anthony that night was done with malicious intent. He meant to kill. It wasnt a true accident bc had Johnny not been trying to murder anyone that night, no one would be dead.

The fact that you said they talk about her enough and she's now basically saved the entire city off screen lmao

I think it's difficult to find a right way to treat an actor/character when the actor is in a prolonged state of ill health. I keep thinking back to Ruth Warrick's last appearances as Phoebe on AMC. She was clearly in failing health but still trying to give good performances but IIRC by her last appearance on the AMC 35th anniversary she was just wheeled onto the set. I can't recall if she even spoke any lines. It was bittersweet to say the least. But that doesn't change the fact that she loved the show and the audience loved her.

I'm not claiming to know what's "appropriate" in these situations but I think we can all acknowledge it's a tough one.

I wish Mr. Ingle the best.

She didn't speak. I remember that she seemed so happy to be there.

Someone in the classic GH thread posted a tribute to Emily McLaughlin where Michael Logan commented on (in 1991) how little respect GH had for its veteran actors. That has never changed.

What a steaming load of horse crap. Even a contortionist would be amazed at this extremely flexed out rationalization.

I'm think one of the few people who still wants an AMC/GH/OLTL hybrid. I still have little investment in GH as itself, though most of you would say it no longer is under FV and RC.

"Cartini" have taken all the worst of OLTL. I can't imagine how GH viewers who never saw OLTL would feel about that vomit. They would do even worse than AMC, since AMC had no loveable, wacky rapists they can borrow.

JR raped Marissa to teach her a lesson after AMC ended and after that she realized she wasnt a lesbian and fell back in love with him

GH is basically a hybrid, I love AMC but have no desire to see AMC characters on GH, not even David Hayward like some GH'ers(the ones who whine and complain about OLTL'ers on GH) want.
