And if that true's it's more fuckery, making joke out of a serious crime, and trying to redeem an old sleaze who doesn't deserve it.

More fuckery is right! There is just no end to this rotgut!

I thought Joe was going to be this big bad evil villian of the month type but he seems alot more viable than I had originally thought when they first started talknig about him. He comes across harmless, more talk than bark and nowhere near as dangerous as Sonny's past enemies. I definetly see them trying to keep him around and making Kate wrong about her rape seems like a given at this point. She'll probably end up apologizing to him and go out of her way to make things up to Trey for what her mistruth has caused him

RS is a terrible actor. They need to kick him to the curb and give Tracy some damn sense back!

I've never seen a writer so determined to make viewers think the only one who suffers from rape is the rapist.

  • Member

that would be the case if Joe raped her but theres a chance he never did

The story was presented as rape. Now, it's suddenly not rape at all, and he's the victim. It's Ford all over again.

not necesarily. We saw the Ford/Jessica stuff play out. All we got was Kate's reenactment and only one side to the story. Joe's always maintained that he never raped Kate even from the beginning and she was lying.

Their preoccupation with rape is disturbing!

Now we have people justifying their attempts to pretend rape was not rape.

That is what rapists do! They say "It was me, she wanted it, etc" You believe Joe the murderer mobster's lies?

When he first came on, no, but months after the fact, I can definetly buy that Connie came onto him and Kate "woke up" in the middle and freaked out. Like I said, he's not being potrayed as this big evil bad that he was originally being built up to be by Sonny and Kate. I think there are more longterm goals for him and I think clearing him of these rape accusations are no that agenda

We saw a woman say she was raped, relive a rape, and we saw this man she said raped her be punished by Sonny for her rape. Since that time she's mostly just a headcase while we're supposed to see him as a great guy, sympathetic, likeable.

The message of these stories over and over is that the man suffers and the woman is a screwed up liar.

And I'm sick of this redeemed rapist crap. They don't do this crap on telenovelas. Every telenovela I watched that had a rape, the rape was portrayed as vile and disgusting and the rapist ended up dead.

since that time she's been mostly a normal functioning person and didnt have a major setback until this past week when Connie took over for good. (not counting the 20 minutes she came out to Johnny)

So it's basically the Jessica playbook. When they don't have a story for her, she's boring and drab. The rest of the time she's comic relief rape victim.

To be honest, Connie is completely not needed. They probably would have been better suited to have introduced another personality if they wanted Kate to have a setback. For no one to notice that Connie is back considering what they JUST went through a few months ago, makes everyone around her idiots. Maxie was noticing Connie like tendencies from Kate and even commented on her DID, yet it doesnt click to her that maybe Connie is back. This is all just so stupid. Carly today sees NOTHING wrong with Kate showing up out of the blue to have a meeting with Johnny in his apartment and she even left them alone together even though Kate has kept her distance from Johnny since the stuff that went down before.

What's rape have to do with Connie not being needed? Joe, Trey, Kate/Connie are all not needed still doesn't make Joe a good man.
