NBC's coverage makes me laugh sometimes. Without spoilers, you knew the guy gymnasts blew it cause NBC didn't show them until towards the end of their coverage & cut it down time wise as much as they could. Tonight, they started the girls gymnastic coverage within the first 30 minutes and spreading it out, cause they are doing well. laugh.png

I noticed that too...I am like they are starting the gymnastics early and then they cut to something else..and then go back to it...lol.....

Seriously why is this going past primetime viewing into the news hour....LOL...come on....I didnt think the girls were that great......the reason they won was because the others especially Russia sucked more...LOL.....I thought their performances were going to be top notch on the balance beam and they werent...they had big hops on the landing..lol...I am glad USA won but come on....LOL

NBC's Olympic coverage always goes to 12am, plus NBC's going to milk it for as much as they can. NBC still has a swimming relay to show too.

Yes Phelps and Co....I wish the Russian girls would stop crying..they sucked...what else can you say....LOL....I liked it better when one of the Russians pretty much with her actions told her teammates and coach to [!@#$%^&*] off...LOL when she performed badly on the balance beam.

Yeah, the Russians cried a lot. Is it mean to say I'm glad China didn't even medal? I reveled in that. biggrin.png I still think China cheated in 2008.

The USA win was so dull/boring on NBC part...where was the final score?? Why do the announcers keep repeating the same s hit ....LOL....geeez...they won gold and yet the announcers are dull as can be.

Yeah, didn't show score, didn't show them presenting the medals (which NBC rarely shows in ANY event). I wished ABC/EPSN had outbid NBC to televise the Olympics, but oh well, have to put up with NBC until 2020.

Oh I thought the girls were fantastic. I think they did what they needed to do to win and were consistent. I think you'll see the gymnasts take more chances in the individual events. Winning the team medal has always been more about minimizing mistakes than huge perfect routines and the US made no major mistakes anywhere.

I'm pissed because Amelia Schmidt who won the individual 200 meter freestyle by a mile gets very little press compared to Phelps, Lochte, or Franklin. And how about Gevers winning gold.

And I am sick to death of Ryan Seacrest and Bela Karoli

Lochte sure is hot.....lol.....Glad for Gevers winning gold....ok..good medal ceremony..thought they wouldnt show it...and Ryan Seacrest...lol..looks so out of place...and Bela is always at the Olympics....LOL

Spoke too soon, they actually showed the medal ceremony. LOL

While the show itself doesn't look funny, I do find that promo for Matthew Perry's new sitcom with Shawn Johnson funny.

Matt: How does it feel be a looser?

Shawn: But I didn't loose, I won a gold.

Matt: But you also won three silvers, so lose, lose, lose.

Hooray for Phelps! Number 19!! And he still has a chance to improve on that. Can't believe he lost the butterfly race on a reach. Now this is the 2nd time that there's a similarity to 2008 but now Phelps is on the wrong side - everything just went right for him in 2008.

Phelps I dont believe has been training like he should be thats why he isnt winning the races he once won. He has become a bum as u might say...lol....I wonder if he is still doing mari....he just looks a lot slower and of course he is old..

Yeah, I don't think he trained as hard for this Olympics as did for 2008. Plus being 4 years older he's not going to be as fast. 2008 was his peak & he was never going to be at that point again.
