August 17, 201213 yr Member A friend is reading the book now and told me it is a good read. There is some juicy gossip about the older movie stars, but that Jeanne fudges on the Peter Bergman/Eric Braeden feud. Although she stated that TPTB wanted to fire Peter after the fight and Jeanne stood up for him. I'd love to know what Cooper really thought about all the backstage drama with Brenda Dickson!
August 17, 201213 yr Member IIRC, though, Jeanne Cooper was one of BD's few, on-stage allies. I remember reading a quote from Cooper saying that Dickson knew she loved her. But there was so much drama with Dickson in later years, I'm curious about whether or not Cooper thought it was for the best when Dickson was finally fired and replaced by Jess Walton.

Probably. I think many on the Y&R set saw or were seeing BD coming unglued emotionally.

As time went on, she seemed to become more affected and more bizarre. Even if I adored a person, I'd like it difficult to work with someone who was coming unglued.
August 24, 201213 yr Member In the SOD with the Jackie Zeman interview, there's an interview with Jeanne about her book. She rehashes some of that and she also gives some details on material she regrets not putting in the book. It's a good interview, check it out if you can find it.
August 27, 201213 yr Member I can only imagine what the real Queen of daytime -- Robin Mattson -- will spill upon her almost 40 years on CBS, NBC and ABC will difulge. Now THAT will be the best ever soap opera tell all ever.
August 27, 201213 yr Member IIRC, Braeden showed up at Bergman's dressing room to discuss an earlier, verbal altercation on the set. Don't know or remember who threw the first punch, however.
