May 4, 201214 yr Member Didn't they hint at this back in 2003 or 2004? And weren't viewers revolted even then?
May 6, 201214 yr Member eh, whatever. Couples don't have a very long shelf life on this show - popular or not. Who cares? They'll last MAYBE a month before she's back screwing Adam behind Victor's back. That's one of the problems w/ this show: there's no point getting invested in any of the 'sweeping romances' because relationships just do not last in Genoa City.

I think this one may last a little longer, mostly because they are trying out Adam with Chloe 2.0, but who knows. I do wonder if this may be the last straw for Sharon Case.
May 6, 201214 yr Member another prob. w/ Y&R is that they let MANY of their actors dictate what happens with story, which I don't think is always a good idea and in most cases can be detrimental. I think this one may last a little longer, mostly because they are trying out Adam with Chloe 2.0, but who knows. I do wonder if this may be the last straw for Sharon Case. it's the fact that we all KNOW it won't last that makes it such a fruitless expedition. It's not even that I'm disgusted @ the fact that TPTB would continue to further ruin the 'purity' of what Victor and Sharon had, but that we all know how it will end, so why even bother to follow on the journey??
May 6, 201214 yr Member That's true. It's just impossible to care, especially since the couples who stay together are people who never should have been together in the first place. This story should have been done, if it had to be done at all, about 3-4 years ago. Sharon has been so destroyed as a character that nothing she does is surprising now, and clearly this story is banking on shocking viewers.
May 6, 201214 yr Member This made me throw up in my mouth a lot. This genre is its own worse enemy. It is impossible for them to get new viewers so instead of focusing on keeping the few viewers that they do have, they come up this revolting crap which only drives more people away. May 6, 201214 yr Member This would be ok if there were some kind of value here. THERE IS NONE! I have not watched in weeks, and I see I'm not missing anything! There simply is no point to this outside of shock and pissing off the audience! Any remaining lukewarm feelings I had for Daytime are all but gone, and I simply don't care what happens to the remaining shows! So so sad! ANDREA

Couldn't resist lol. Carl...you really think this is the last straw for Sharon Case?! I highly doubt that (but then again who knows)--she's probably heavily wishing and hoping this will lead her to her "holy grail" which is Nick Newman no matter who she has to subtlely undermine or "t.o" to get it. Now if she doesn't get to that "holy grail" then all bets are off lol. She's got what she's always wanted except the timing couldn't be worse. She wouldn't mind if she got a quadrangle with Victor, Nick and Adam all at once or Nick/Adam as long as those roads all lead to her "holy grail" Nick Newman. But then again I am pretty sure Ms. Case knows exactly why she is getting this story. It's pretty amusing the perception of which actors dictate story or try to dictate story. And sometimes those said actors tend to forgot that shockingly MAB doesn't get to call the shots 100% of the time. I think we will get to see Ms. Case at her acting best in this s/l maybe tough days for her but if it gets her to that "holy grail" I am sure it will be well worth it.
