Soap Stars By State

I realize this is sort of a random thread, but as someone who loves geography and is a self-described "atlas-nerd", I love learning about and different places and different states. It's kind of interesting to me to see how many soap stars are from the same states, especially when many of them have been on the same soap.

For example, GL was very friendly to people from Maryland (my home state):

Grant Aleksander

Crystal Chappell

Nancy St. Alban

Laura Wright

And OLTLer Tonja Walker was living in Maryland when she was crowned Miss Maryland 1980 (but she was born in West Virginia).

OLTL loved their Kentucky girls:

Kassie DePaiva

Farah Fath

And AMC's Chrishell Stause is from the Bluegrass State, too.

Among those from Virginia:

Lynn Herring (GH--Miss Virginia 1979--but she was born in Oklahoma)

Mark Lawson (OLTL)

Here are a few people who are actually native Californians:

Kimberlin Brown (Y&R/B&B )

James DePaiva (OLTL)

Vanessa Marcil (GH)

Kimberly McCullough (GH)

Indiana:

Kristina Wagner (GH)

Terri Conn (ATWT/OLTL)--was born in Bloomington--just like me.

Missouri:

Krista Tesreau (GL)

Rhode Island:

Gina Tognoni (OLTL/GL--but born in Missouri)

North Carolina:

Susan Batten (OLTL/ATWT)

South Carolina:

Fiona Hutchison (OLTL/GL/ATWT--but born in Florida and lived part of her childhood in Jamaica)

Pennsylvania:

Kristen Alderson, Eddie Alderson, and Erin Torpey (OLTL)--all from the same town: Doylestown.

Kelly Monaco (GH)

I'll add more actors/states when I think of them.

Sandra Ferguson is from western PA (possibly the city of Pittsburgh). Like Tonja Walker, she was a beauty queen.

Nancy Lee Grahn is from WI. Given that Nancy is one of daytime's most liberal actresses, I thought that was an interesting coincidence. (In recent years, WI has been known to be more of a swing state, but throughout much of the 20th Century it was one of the most progressive-friendly states in the country.)

JPL is another OLTLer from PA: he's from the Philly area like KA, EA and ET.

John Loprieno and Andrea Evans are both from Illinois--they were both born in the Chicago area! (JL in Chicago, AE in Aurora).

Melissa Archer (OLTL) is from Dallas.

Isn't Krista Allen (DAYS) from Texas, too?

Natalia Livingston (GH) is from Georgia.

Tamara Braun is also from the Chicago area--Evanston.
