Especially considering how the soap press (granterd not as much as soap blogs) has touted OLTL as the well rated, saviour of soaps that should never be canceled for the past year or two, it would seem particularly odd...

Yea but I bet they figure OLTL wouldn't shift as many copies as an AMC one. Not that that's any excuse, but I think their excuse will be somewhere along those lines.

I'd say that the only reason SOD/SOW might not do one for OLTL is because they truly felt they might go online...but they STILL did one for AMC under this assumption, too.

Even if it were a month or so late, it would still be better than nothing.

I bet they didn't have one prepared by the time the PP said they were going online. Maybe they're scrambling to make one now?

I appreciate that you're an optimist, but I'm not sure how long it should take (plus AMC had one even though at the time they thought it was going to PP as well). If that were true it would be nice to have them say "Please expect our tribute issue out in March" or whatever.

Wouldn't it be equivalent to ATWT though? Or not? It is true I think that for ages (until they started running out of soaps) I believe OLTL was the only one of the top soaps (ie not including Port Charles, etc) to rarely get a cover on SOD.

I thought they said Y&R, GH, and DAYS were the soaps that shifted the most copies? I have really only seen OLTL get a complete cover to themselves like maybe once or twice in 2011.
