Because most of their people I think have seen the handwriting on the wall for a while and have other irons in the fire. JJ came back for the paycheck and his band is doing better now 2 years later opening for acts like U2. Kimberly 2 years ago went though that AFC directors training program and her short film has gotten attention at film festivals and won awards. She's made no secret about wanting to direct. People poke fun at Burton but he's been setting himself up financially for years now. Laura Wright and her husband started a winery a few years back.Sure some are accused of ,milking fans but you have to hit while the iron is hot and plan for your future.

You can't really milk fans unless they want to be milked can you? I mean, yeah, I do think Steve took advantage with that juice thing, but he didn't hold a gun to anyone's head. As they say, there's a sucker born every minute.

I really don't know, but I imagine it's a better industry to bet on right now than soaps. Probably people who are wine aficionados aren't being hit quite as hard as others in this downturn.

Is there such a thing as career safety for an actor? Being out of work is half an actor's job. They're supposed to be these nomads taking jobs wherever they come from, not remaining ensconced for decades in one show. I think it great Tom Pelphrey is heading to Broadway as Judy Garland's husband; Ron Raines is there now.

ABC is planning on expanding their political coverage in the daytime due to 2012 being a presidential election year and are either considering a 2 hour version of the View before the election or political commentary/talk. Both formats are speculated to potentially give Katie Couric a jumpstart. again so far rumor

Good luck with that. The View women are known for ugly trash feuds, not politics, and the only thing anyone cared about with frosty Katie in politics was the Palin interview - that's not going to be duplicated.

I believe that Robin is going to die. There's a new spoiler out that says "Robin meets stone at the bridge"....With rumors of KmC leaving, I fear Robin might die.

If they kill Robin off, that is OFFICIALLY the final straw, and I am done.

Was there any real fighting during the last election? I remember them being huffy with McCain but the rest seemed like the same old crap. I don't think that would wear well for two hours.
