B&B: October Discussion Thread

I'll take Jackie/Bridget/Owen any day over more Hope/Liam/Steffy rehash. Having to listen to Brooke and Taylor defend their daughters to each other day after day has me wanting to pull my hair out. Once is enough, thank you. I'm tired of all the filler content. Why not play a "B" or "C" storyline within the same show, instead of playing an "A" story, and spending scenes having characters reacting to it? It's snooze-worry.

I agree, but having Owen leave Jackie like it's nothing in a day? I just can't get behind that sort of ridiculous writing. If they are going to break up a couple they pimped as being in love, then show us the breakdown on screen.

When Jacob Young last played Rick, Rick wasn't really a character. He was this young, dumb guy, and things happened to him, he was stuck with the bad girl and loved the good girl. That was about it. I imagine playing the role now must be confusing, especially since characterization on B&B amounts to stark raving madness for two months followed by vanishing into thin air.

Whatever he was or wasn't when Jacob played him, it was pretty good IMO and I did not feel like he was an irrelevant piece of the puzzle. He was just a good guy character. He was very popular on B&B at the time and that's why he landed GH and then AMC. I will agree that this was more in Rick's fomative years.

Jacob is coming off a long-time of being a mustache twirling villain more often than not. And again, B&B would be wise to not continue with JR b/c it seems easy and rather develop Rick with his own personality extending from his past including the one Jacob put in all those years ago. I haven't watched B&B regularly in a long time but Rick at heart is a pretty cool good guy. I don't mind them adding some edges, but don't go all JR with it.

Thomas and Hope

They do look cute together. But I was thinking to myself, "are they related?"

Thomas is a Taylor kid. Steffy too?

And Hope, Bridget and Rick are the Brooke seeds?

Loved the Eric/Stephanie stuff from today. The writing is sooo good right here with them

Was really glad to see Pam and Stephen today. Can the show finally give them their wedding?

I bet Steffy gets pregnant now. I dont see why Liam would stay with her now knowing the truth about Hope. I hope the show doesnt go there as it would see like a rehash of his story with Amber

Hope. Deacon (Brooke)

Jack. Nick (Taylor)

Steffy. Ridge? (Taylor)

Thomas. Ridge? (Taylor)

I noticed but didnt want to say anything. I thought she looked a bit ragged

Ragged is preferable to the death masks that seem to take up so much of B&B.

I think its easier to remember that with the exception of RJ, the blond youngins are Brooke's kids and the brunette's are Taylors...lol

LOL, Cheap. But I need to know the father's to rule out or in relations.

Thanks again, Julia. This evening I'm going to try to install that into my memory box.

Bridget/Rick=Eric/Brooke

Thomas/Steffy= Taylor/ Ridge

I remember a while ago I was on another board and the question of full blood siblings on soaps came up and Lulu and Lucky from GH where the only ones that people could think of. I don't think there are others on soaps besides those three.(of the younger variety)

I wasn't online when I watched the Taylor/Brooke/Nick drama in regards to Jack but that was probably the most disgusting storyline I've ever seen. Taylor rejecting the baby she carried and gave birth to because he came from Brooke's egg was absolutely disgusting.

Speaking of kids, I'm so happy I never see any on BB.

I wouldn't be surprised, but they really just need to bring on a new man for Steffy.

Sami has 2 sets of full blood siblings on Days. Sydney/Johnny and Will/Allie. OLTL has Starr and Jack.

This is what drives viewers crazy about this show. It's so uneven in terms of story. The Jackie/Owen/Bridget arc should have played out for weeks, not in a couple of days. There were so many emotional moments to be mined, but they were tossed aside. The thing is, I can't figure out why? What's the big rush? So Jackie can be available to Eric, now that he and Stephanie are having problems again. That's such lazy, lame storytelling.

I didn't realize that, so as long as I remember Steffy and Thomas are Taylor's with Ridge I should be good on this.

Is that worst that falling in love with your daughter's husband and having his child? Jennifer Finnigan K.I.L.L.E.D. the labor and reveal scenes with that story. What's Finnigan doing these days? I know there has been a few failed comedies, anything else?
