Let the countdown begin!

On Sept. 23, All My Children‘s final broadcast episode will air on ABC. Thankfully, SOAPnet has announced plans to honor the daytime institution with a two-day, 12-episode marathon of AMC‘s most memorable hours.

For starters, relish in the wonder that is Erica Kane on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7/6c, with a mini-marathon titled “I Love Lucci.” The five back-to-back episodes (one from 1979!) include Erica’s fairy tale wedding to Jack (one of their trips down the aisle, anyway), her daughter Biana’s difficult coming out, and the realization that she might in fact be a pill addict.

Head back to SOAPnet on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 5 pm for “All My Children: Last Chance for Romance,” which will feature seven episodes meant to showcase Pine Valley’s most beloved couples, including: Cliff and Nina (pictured above); Jenny and Greg; Tad and Dixie; Ryan and Gillian; Leo and Greenlee; Zach and Kendall; and Angie and Jesse.

I guess it will be good for their fans but they wont be the entire episode. Good chances are that the episode will suck bc there wasnt a whole lot of good material since 2005, and with the last 5 years set to be aired when AMC goes off the year, picking something so recent seems like a double waste.

I wonder if this is the Tom/Erica wedding episode? I've seen that before but wouldn't mind seeing it again.

I wish they'd run a few we've never seen. Then again I'm still surprised they are running any from pre-2005 since they aren't for their "classic" episodes that are killing Ryan's Hope.

I'm trying to remember if they've ever run any with Jenny/Greg? I look forward to that. I think Daytime to Remember had one.

Greenlee haranguing Leo and bitching about her father were impossible enough the first time; I hope they may be some Sam Page or Marj Dusay to ease the burden.

Good for them, that's more generous that I was expecting. I can deal with the Zendall inclusion, because like them or LOATHE THEM AND WANT THEM TO BURN IN HELL, they were a pretty big deal back in the day. I hope they show their original wedding.
