Not classic, but I'm watching the end of 2007 on SN, and Emily's time is almost up. YAY!!!!! I wish we could have watched her being strangled :)

After Audrey lost their baby, she left town and Steve to work with orphans in Vietnam.I think she was off for about a year. Maybe someone else can provide more details.

Killing off Emily was like many during Guza's run, one of his biggest mistakes. I never liked her but she was one of the last truly genuinely good people on the show and the future of the Quartermaine clan. One of the biggest problems people had with the character was Natalia Livingston, not really so much Emily herself. She could have just been written out with the option to be recasted further down the line. Killing her may have seemed fun in the short run but in the long run, it was an awful decision

Emily looked down on the Quartermaines for most of her life, and the family was already decimated by the time she was killed. I can see where her death helped create more of a void for young heroines (although I think Georgie's was worse in that regard, especially since it led to Maxie being ruined for the disgusting freak Spinelli), but she was not a Quartermaine.
