I was watching YouTube's of Robert and Katherine..probably near the end of their relationship.  She fit in well with Sean, Tiff, and Anna.  However, you could tell the actress was playing up the insecurity her character felt about her relationship with Robert.  Oddly, I thought her and Anna fit better as friends then either did with Robert.  It made perfect sense that the two broke up because Katherine would always feel doubt about Roberts love for her.  It is telling that within six to eight months after the break up scenes between Robert and Katherine that he and Anna remarried.

My late mom watched in the 80s...and she was team Holly...but she loved Anna with Duke.

Apparently she still has a site (not sure how old it is). The FAQ includes a question asking if she still makes the same product she made in the infomercials, which cracks me up. I wonder if she and Cher ever speak as Cher felt those damaged her career a great deal (I'm not sure what she expected - maybe she didn't realize just how much infomercials were run into the ground, especially in the '90s).

I didn't realize that Larry Hagman and Ted Danson were in them too (they are in another one of her infomercials). I always thought they both wore rugs by this point.

All those were wiped from YT for several years but they are back now for some reason.

I didn't realize that Georgianne was even spoofed on SNL (mostly by Melanie Hutsell making her usual goofy faces). I guess that's making it...

How dumb was Cher not to know that she would become an object of derison because of these campy infomercials?

Even if Hagman and Danson wore wigs at that point, I doubt that pesky fact would have stopped them from appearing with Davis. The claims made on infomercials has always been sketchy, and for the actors, money talk$.

I don't know how long these videos will survive on YT. We must enjoy them while we can.

I wish I knew how to down vids from the internet.

    • no argument here! and as she was singing, i kept wondering how many verses ‘amazing grace’ had. looked it up: 13 — 13! — and i think she must have sung  every one.
    • Yasss, ANITA!!! GET HER!!!   Awww at Smitty calming Martin down.   'Oh, you're the one leaving.' That face like stone. Go 'head, Nicole.    Eva vs Kat...the gift that keeps giving.
    • I have to admit I still have a nagging complaint about timelines - Why aren't we allowed to know how long Ted and Nicole have been married or how old Kat and Eva are? Or for that matter, when Anita last released an album? BTG is a new show with no SORAS or timewarping. MVJ and Guza are working from a fresh bible. There is no need to be so coy about ages and anniversaries, especially when most of the storylines are driven by past events.
    • It was an extremely rare interview even then - I was shocked when I read it (as mentioned I'd forgotten just how far in she went). You could see how hurt and annoyed she was. I'm surprised he thought she came up with the baby story herself. She and Charles Keating did a good job with the material but it was absolute hokum. Even if they loved Carl and Rachel (and clearly they did), I don't see them coming up with stuff that, frankly, read like Geocities fan fic. Malone was clearly hobbled by NBC and P&G, but re-using so many of his old stories and his soap bible instead of actually coming up with material suited to the characters or show did not help.
    • Seeing this trash get good ratings says nothing good about daytime audiences. It's embarrassing.
    • Cat does feel committed to being a goofball (the other term has been reconsidered in recent years).  I wonder, given her brother Aaron, if Cat was less attractive prior to the surgery?  Remember the 1973 movie The Girl Most Likely to?  My fanfic for the moment is Cat commenting on how people treat her differently now that she is gorgeous.  One assumes that pre-surgery, Cat never had two men fighting over her for a date.  So, it might be fun to see that side of the story.
    • It's probably one of the only conflicts the story will have, aside from Dante being upset with Lulu when the truth comes out. They really needed someone else who actually knows Gio is Dante and Brook Lyn's son and kept quiet.
    • So Cat wasn't a creation of Ron C.. but something that the strike writers generated? Perhaps the new writers will give her some layers and purpose on the show that doesn't revolve around Chad since isn't he on his way out next year?
    • Another good show today, but -- Why is super agent Joss holding that thumb drive in plain sight instead of stashing it in her denim shorts? Make it make sense. -- Dante going after Gio (in the previews) for Rocco's alcohol poisoning is lame and cliche, just a contrived way to drive a wedge between father and son.
    • Didn't he get all angry because the strike writers set her up to be Abigail? And he just went with the first thing that came to mind in order to prevent that?
