August 18, 201114 yr Member I like Daniel and Lily but this is most definitely a relationship thats going nowhere and they have definitely backed off of them. Its all fluff now and Daniel is showing interest in Eden. Edited August 18, 201114 yr by JaneAusten

August 18, 201114 yr Member Like everything on this show. Pretty much. I actually thought they were moving towards something real with them but things have really shifted. Its not even about a triangle at all. Maybe the last couple of weeks is where MAB started shifting story back to Cane/Lily because I definitely felt even with Cane alive they were headed apart. Not the case anymore. And guess what, Jill is again second choice, Colin is still hung up on Genevieve and it seems like they are headed down the road of him using Jill to get away from Genevieve. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
August 18, 201114 yr Member I think they are showing us that Daniel is too emotionally immature for Lily. When she was talking about Cane/kids/divorce he looked like he wanted to yawn.

IA but it wasn't that way a few weeks ago which is why I say it shifted. And what a coincidence the same day we see scenes with she and Cane where he is begging her to see the kids. And all of a sudden how Daniel seems intrigued by Eden. How old is she? I was hoping that last story with Lucy's custody was a chance for Daniel to grow up a bit.

And instead it pretty much reiterated that he's not ready to grow up, which is fine since he never chose to be a parent, but I can't see Lily with someone who is so clearly at a different stage in his life. I agree that things shifted in the last couple of weeks. I'd like to see a third option for Lily, since going back to Cane is almost as bad as Sharon going for Adam, imo. Eden is over 21, but I'm not sure how old she's supposed to be. I'd guess 23. Edited August 18, 201114 yr by Juliajms

August 18, 201114 yr Member As soon as the show decided to keep Goddard, there was never going to be anyone else for Lily. That's all they write for Lily. That's all Lily is. Even if Goddard had stayed away, I doubt they would have really gone for Daniel/Lily. Daniel is written as a loser, not a real man (just ask Phyllis, the show's mouthpiece). Lily probably would have found love with that guy who played the Australian reporter on The City.
August 18, 201114 yr Member Lily can have Adam and Sharon can have Cane. Problem solved. I could probably get behind Sharon and Cane. At least Cane didn't steal her baby, but it looks like Sharon is busy with Sam. Plus Lame has a huge fanbase, so I can understand why TPTB give into that. Yes, I know Bill Bell never did and the show was better for it, but things have changed to say the least. I really don't know what direction they should take Adam in romantically, but I've always felt that Shadam diminishes Sharon as a character. She was never the right vehicle for Adam's "redemption". I'd actually like to see Adam make inroads with someone in his family. If the character is going to be viable going forward it can't be Adam against the entire world, imo. There has to be someone he cares about and someone who cares if he lives or dies.
August 18, 201114 yr Member So over this show Haven't watched in weeks. But I saw the tail-end of yesterday's show when Genie Francis was having a hissyfit and throwing things all over the room. I couldn't help but laugh when she reached for a glass object on the table and it broke just by her merely touching it! HA! Y&R never used to let little details like that make it to air...

I love Genie but this character is such a cartoon. She and tristan Rogers have no chemistry, they are wasting he and Jess Walton and they really should test her around canvas too. What they are doing on this show is so predictable and its sad that they still have no name for who Debi Morgan is going to play. Everytime I see a glimmer of something remotely interesting like Abby as the Heiress in that cosmetic deal or the SEC and Stock scandal with Victor, Adam. Diane, and Jack it never lasts long and ends in stupidity.
August 18, 201114 yr Member Kathrine is getting closer to finding Tucker's child, so I think we can rest assured that Debbie's character will play a part in that.
August 19, 201114 yr Member The crazy Aussie crimelord family is just AWFUL. And I adore Tristan Rogers -- I definitely adored him with Jess Walton and sniping at Granny Chancellorpants. But poor Genie is just ill-served by this hokey SL. Her character is so overwrought and "tra-la-la I'm all sunny and perky and DON'T CALL ME CRAZY!" She boohoos over "Samantha," a character we never even met or care about, I can't even think why Samantha was killed. Was it Caleb in some weird incestu-hate moment or am I imagining things? Daniel Goddard gave this interview to some outlet last week, he said it was "time" for Genoa City to have its own "mob family." Um, news flash, pet, but this isn't ABC. And there already IS a mob family on the show -- they're called the Newmans. Why did they bring this clueless actor back? He's almost as irrelevant as Eden Riegel. Today's episode is... Phyllis-centric. Phyllis talking in her whispery "sexy" voice which makes her sound like she has a sore throat. Phyllis getting jealous of Ashley & Nick (god, I so wish!). Phyllis being chased by Deacon (why, baby boy, why?) who keeps bringing up the alley and the dumpster. At least her hair looks decent. Michelle Stafford has the greatest hair on the show, unlike Amelia who still looks like she slept outdoors, under a very brambley bush. I wish they'd stop talking about Nikki when they have no intention of showing her! Call me crazy, but I am really liking Avery.
August 19, 201114 yr Member I will be going back to school in a week for meetings and such so one more week but I think I am done with Y&R for a while after today. And yes I am tired of everything including Phyllis as the center of everything. ANd I like Avery well enough but I see no point when Leslie was on canvas and a likable character in her own right of course she's African American and we can't have her mixing it up with lily white Adam can we of course the fact that she and MM had a natural easy chemistry and the chick who plays Avery and MM are forced I guess matters not. MAB is clueless. Edited August 19, 201114 yr by JaneAusten
