OLTL: Discussion for the week of July 18

Nate is so dumb. It would be fitting if someone saw the porn and sent a link to Dani.

Todd is dumb too. I dont get why he ever told Vimal his secret

Another dummy is Vimal writing an anonymous letter and leaving it for John. Ugh, he can trace your handwriting. You type anonymous letters, not hand write them

Baz...go to hell or just go away

Loved how Natalie's hair was styled

I hate how they all know or at least suspect that Todd's old face is in town. It should have been a secret that no one learned of till they say his face

Thank god I have the day off tomorrow and can watch hte showdown live

UMMM Blair, Sam in not your son remember

Sam IS her son. She has every reason to be distraught, upset and tormented at the thought of some killer potentially having him

You'd be surprised how that porn storyline is going to turn out.

And yeah, for all intensive purposes Sam is Blair's son....she has raised him most of his life (except when he was with Marcie and Michael of course), so it's only natural that she thinks of him as her very own.

What a great cliffhanger - just one of many cliffhangers to come, I'm sure. I have to say, I'm been loving this Two-Todd's storyline since the beginning and how slow it's been written. I really believe this storyline is why OLTL's ratings haven't sunk to GH/AMC lows.

I like the premise as well. But aren't you even a little disappointed that we realistically already know the outcome

(RH Todd is realTodd and TSJ Todd will be gone in roughly 6 weeks.)?

I'm waiting to see the confrontation, but once they make it clear who real Todd is, I'm going to be done. The whole idea

that TSJ todd fooled people for eight years despite the fact that he looks and sounds nothing like RH Todd is stupid. That doesn't even get into the issue the Dani/Todd DNA test and the fact that as many times as TSJ Todd has been arrested, surely someone would have checked fingerprints and DNA as well.

Weird! I'm not sure why that showed up as a spoiler.

Editing to add that I just realized there are spoilers in my posts

The biggest issue I have with this story is that TSJ Todd's behavior, which is supposed to shock us and shock his family, is no different than any of his behavior over the last 3 years, which barely ever got a reaction from his family, aside from part of 2008, which was glossed over.

If they had it where no one in the family thought Todd was acting any differently then I'd believe it more.

As for James, I don't care, but it's kind of telling that Starr is exactly the same with three very different male characters. She just shouldn't be in romantic stories.

I think the whole focus of the storyline isn't the reveal of who is Todd (that's a given)but rather how Todd and Blair reunite and the return of the great romance that leads up to their inevitable re-marriage.

TSJ won't be around long enough for the story to be about anything else.

Sorry, I just realized my last sentence is probably a spoiler.

Will the other Alderson sibling be returning any time soon?

No story has been about Blair in a long time. Unless Florencia is also leaving early I won't be too surprised if the show ends on Todd/Tea, since that's RC's pet pairing and he adores Tea.

I honestly much prefer the male Alderson these days when I hated him as a child and vice versa with his sister.

Considering the last 2 years has been about Todd and Tea's love story, it kinda makes sense from a writing standpoint, why they might be the focus when this all plays out bc Blair hasnt been about Todd in years. Id prefer it if they kept it that way bc I am enjoying her with Tomas

Sigh, it would be so fitting if they updated the opening to put Howarth in before the showdown tomorrow but it is not meant to be.

I would rather no one end up with Todd. I don't really understand how this is supposed to be a happy ending for anyone.

But if it turns out Tomas knew all along, how does Blair for.... I stopped myself once I realized what show this is and who's writing it...

Toups, it's amazing how much better this is than the two Romans story on DAYS 20 years ago. That one left the fans miserable with Wayne/Roman I's return and wanting John to be Roman again for years. And I say this as someone who likes Trevor St. John a lot more than Roger Howarth.

BTW, I don't know if you saw my reply to the last post you wrote to me, but I didn't like Shane/Kayla. I just recognized that it didn't have to be as big a disaster as Polumbo turned it into.

I admit I did like the climax, and was so relieved to see this story finally having momentum. I found some of the other stuff kinda filler, but the episode did go by quickly.

OK I feel silly worrying about this but... Isn't the porno meant to be about a pizza delivery guy? Oh well, hopefully this means the end of Rick - I was worried for a bit that he was gonna force them into more porn or something and not give them the things they want. And who here thinks Deanna's mom isn't in California but is in... Llanview?

Anyway, I have mixed feelings about the show, and VERY mixed feelings about this two Todds story, but I admit it was great to finally have them come face to face.
