Cool that they bought these sets.

I don't understand how people can be so negative with absolutely no info. hopefully something is announced soon.

News Flash. This board, Soap Opera Network is the most negative soap board that's out there. And I go to a lot of them. Never on a board have I seen so many rude and ignorant people. I mean wars get launched here at SON if you don't agree with the elite few.

There are people here who post about soaps saying bad things but don't even watch what's going on for themselves. Sad really

Now having said that SON also has the most informative posters as well as in Carl d 2 and Mr. Paul Raven

Now if only PP would burn down Fusion with Rylee trapped inside...lol

I think there needs to be a current soap sets thread because I'd discuss this to death...lol now what is so bad about about Fusion?! I LOVE that place. I don't see the problem. ConFusion? Now that's a problem wink.gif Wouldn't mind seeing that get burned down, but Fusion is attached to it so it simply just can't be done IMO!! If it had to burn down, I would need a guarantee that a new one would be built ;-)

I think an alternative to your idea could be PP burning down Krystal's with RyLee inside....;-P

You really need to reconsider film school if you think the Fusion set is great. It's the worst set ever in the history of TV.

Confusion and Fusion are the worst things that HAPPEND to AMC honestly.

Be sure to bring a windbreaker and plenty of Kleenex with you if you're planning to attend the star-studded "A Tribute to Pine Valley: A Celebration of the Final Network Broadcast of All My Children" this Sept. 23. I'm sure there won't be a dry eye at the Sidetracks Bar (3349 N. Halsted St.) in Chicago. Pine Valley denizens past and present, Chrishell Stause (Amanda), Bobbie Eakes (Krystal), Terri Ivens (ex-Simone), Jeffrey Carlson (ex-Zarf), Brian Gaskill (ex-Bobby), and Matt Borlenghi (ex-Brian), are all scheduled to be in attendance for the event, which will benefit Season of Concern.

Attendees will be able to try their hand at AMC Trivia and find out what's next for their favorite soap stars. The event starts at 10:30am/11:30C, but you'll wanna get there as early as you can, because the place could fill up fast! Doors open at 11 am. "A Tribute to Pine Valley: A Celebration of the Final Network Broadcast of All My Children" will be hosted by Windy City Live's Val Warner. Tickets will go on sale soon!

Wow, right in the heart of Chicago's Boystown (aka Lakeview neighborhood). I'll be there! :)

The more I think about it, the more I believe AMC will translate better online than OLTL. AMC is more of a traditional soap with elegant sets and solid acting, more low key. I know that's translated to total boredom for some but i think the last two years have slowly reversed Pratt's damage and the actors they have are non-sensational and compelling. With more edgy stories and the great sets/background, I think this show will look clean and interesting on most people's laptops, tivos etc. I think the slickness of OLTL, the fast clip scenes and use of color/lightening will be diminished watching online. They will either have to slow it down or risk not captivating viewers for repeat viewing. My AMC wish is that they get rid of nu-Liza. I hate that actress in the role, so wrong for the part.

LOL you keep badgering me about this, well I'm not going to film school to be a set director/creator or whatever you call it :P

Totally do not get the Fusion hate though. I think the place looks fantastic & I love seeing the women work there! I hope on .comAMC we get a fresh, new & glamorous Fusion S/L!

For once we disagree. I was just on another board where I politely explaine4d why I liked something (non soap related) that someone else didn't, and got about 7 remarks about how I was na idiot who wouldn't know taste if it bit me in the ass (one older, I assume, gay guy calle dme an obviously young, ditzy, sizzy, fag and that's a quote). I actually think, despite the negativity, this is one of the more civil and even nice boards I belong to. Ceertainly in the soap community.

I think conFUSION looks ridiculous for Pine Valley but I prefer the set infinitely over the awful, ugly, bland waste of space that is that Fusion set. It really is dire.

The sets are the least of PP's problems. In a couple more months they could've bought them off Ebay. I'm more concerned with who's writing and producing. That's the news I'm waiting for.

I didn't think she would go given things she's said in interviews, you could tell she wanted to move back to NY really bad, and basically has said she was staying till the end of her contract to make up for her maternity leave.

They'd be better off telling us who is going to be staying instead of who will be leaving. I suspect that list will be much shorter.

All true, I mean deep down I'm not really surprised but it still HURTS! Hope she at least visits sometimes and oh, AMC better not DARE to recast again! angry.gif

I honestly don't think they will. Kendall will be talked about being offscreen, I think Bianca too unless CBL decides to stick around
