There *is* that tax credit for TV/film production. AMC couldn't have taken advantage of it before but they could now because they would be considered new production. I'd love for them to move back to NY mainly because I think the move was a bad idea but I doubt it would happen. It's just a pipe dream of mine.

I prefer CBL.

Moving back to NY wouldn't seem like such a crazy idea if they were starting from scratch, so to speak. Didn't PP purchase several sets and wardrobe? That's a hassle moving all of that to NY, and frankly, I think that would be a bigger fly in the ointment than worrying about what actors would move back to NY with them. As an actor, you may fall in love with a city, but first and foremost, you want to act and be employed. I know these are TV folks who don't really have theatre backgrounds, but actors tour and do regional work... it can be a gypsy's trade unless you have been blessed with employment and financial security. They will weigh their options and most likely answer the call (if called). If PP is more comfortable with the idea of its Royal Pains, OLTL, and AMC all being in the tristate area, I can understand that.

Frankly most acting is like this. Primetime shows don't last forever and acting is very much a jouneyman kind of profession. I love Susan Lucci don't get me wrong but moving AMC back to NYC just for her would seem ridiculous when they could very likely work out some sort of recurring type schedule for her. 99.9 percent of he actors out there move from job to job and yes so do the A listers most of all.
