Ok that makes sense. Its stil odd to me that ABC, CBS, NBC wouldn't expend the money on their sites to have their shows streamed outside of the US. Unless the cost is that astronomical.

Couldn't someone outside of the states go through a proxy server? Although maybe the average internet user has no clue or idea about proxies.

I have never heard of this site before, but this is interesting if true....

Perhaps in an effort to offer consolation to those still reeling from the news that their decades-old favorite soaps have been shoved to the web to make way for Katie Couric, ‘The Chew’ and ‘The Revolution,’ as well as engage viewers, ABC Daytime has put up the framework for ClubMillionaireTV.com, a viewer loyalty rewards program which allows members to earn points by shopping through associated retailers online, entering in ‘certificate grants’ offered by partners offline and even by watching ABC Daytime for codes to redeem online. Once points are accumulated, they can be used to purchase merchandise and/or to enter prize-filled sweepstakes as well as donate to charities through the site. Membership to ClubMillionaireTV.com is free and requires only minor activity to maintain the account.

At launch time (whenever that may be as the site appears to only exist for the sake of advertisers and development at this time), ClubMillionaireTV.com boasts partnerships with Walmart, Home Depot, Target, Barnes and Noble, Kohl’s and Macy’s. The website will also offer a Groupon-like system, called GroupBuy, which allows members to participate in special deals once a minimum number of members have committed to it.

On a related tangent, a site has been established for Katie Couric’s daytime talk show at the mysteriously-titled website KateCouricDaytimeShow.com, but other than a Barbie-esque logo, no content is available to the public as of yet.

This is my suspicion and hope--although until people started to upload full episodes to youtube of soaps (and the networks seemed to have realize that, at least as far as daily soaps are concerned, it only benefitted them), it was always hard to find daytime soaps as they're not the kind of thing people tended to torrent.

Of course withint he past year ctv.ca and some other sites started streaming the shows the night of the way abc.com does so it's less of an issue now--but I would like to at least support PP initially to see what they do. It's true that quite often Canada is included in many US based things like this--so we'll see (considering that Canadians have always made up part of the American soap audience--and I've read percentage of population wise watch more soaps than Americans, it would seem foolish to not drop that audience.

I admit to not being a big fan of hers, she's ok, but she seems nice and she's likeable and pretty and she might actually do well outside of soaps. Good for her. I would say the cancellation might work to the advantage to some of those who want to move on while the news is still in the limelight.

I'm thrilled for Chrishell. She's grown so much as an actress since she showed up on AMC and I'm glad that it's paying off for her. Honestly, I want all of my fave actors to get jobs away from the soaps. If they get to choose between soaps and anything else, I hope they choose the "anything else."
