The problem with a life or death cliffhanger is you aren't going to have a show start up with tons of carnage. So that would mean you have various characters saying, "Oh yeah, remember when Kendall got garroted...boy that was sad," and then they go on to their new stories.

I would agree but I sort of get the sense the show is not going to pick up on the same day. THey could easily act as if time has lapsed between when the show ends and starts up next year (as it has) and explain the lack of certain characters being around by saying they left town or moved on within that timeframe. So you might see Angie writing a farewell letter to Jessie with her sitting at a desk or such or on the way to walk out a door with a suitcase still torn and come January shes gone and we see Jessie dealing with the fallout of her departure. I am sure the majority of viewers unlike onliners have no clue Debbi or Jacob or whoever won't be around. Or maybe if Darnell doesn't stay either, Jessie goes after Angie or leaves town on his own.THese are actually the type of cliffhangers I expect to see more character centric than some big party or explosion or such.

ALL MY CHILDREN just wrapped production for ABC earlier this week, but Cameron Mathison (Ryan) already has a new gig lined up -- and with another Pine Valley fan fave! The actor will star opposite Sydney Penny (ex-Julia) in the upcoming Lifetime movie The Wife He Met Online. "Sydney's the lead, and I'm right up there [in a supporting role]. Isn't that the best thing in the world?" Mathison marvels. "When I heard that, it was a big factor in my decision to be away from my family for three weeks."

Having played a romantic leading man for the better part of the last 13 years on AMC, Mathison can't wait to sink his teeth into the mystery thriller. "I don't get to do that too often," he shares. "It's a cool character not that dissimilar to Ryan, but at the same time, I'm going to try to add some differences. It's nice to get a movie role right out of the gate."

The made-for-television movie isn't Mathison's only new project. When Internet giant Yahoo launches a series of original Web programs starting October 3, Mathison will be helping prospective grooms pop the question in some rather unusual ways -- including one arrival by parachute! -- as the host of ULTIMATE PROPOSAL.

Hey guys according to the latest SOD, Alicia Minshew from AMC was approached by another soap (Damn, I wonder which one?! Probably awful Y&R), but she declined because she wants to give PP/AMC a chance and try to work things out before trying to make another work obligation. Yay for her!!

Also Chrishell said she was approached by another soap to but she declined because she wants to try comedy. LOL.

ETA: Read further and CSJ (Frankie) said he's going to pursue other work. sad.png But probably for the best because the show does NOTHING with him. Vincent Irizarry, MEK, Daniel Cosgrove, and Cameron Mathison say they're all open to working with PP. MEK said mostly everyone is just waiting to see what happens

I sometimes wish he were a little more relaxed in his reporter/host appearances - he's always a little edgy and that just seems to give him crazy eyes. But apparently it works for him.

He did the P&G ads online a few years back, some series about toothpaste or something. He played a doctor. I wonder if he's still doing that.
