Is this the Loving actress who did the hit and run and had a taped threesome or is that someone else?

Anyways I certainly hope she is not some sort of replacement for the wonderful Leslie.

That's Rebecca Gayheart (at least the sex-tape is).

They don't need another lawyer. Leslie is available, has been well recieved by fans and is overdue a contract, love interest and story.

Leslie is also Black & a Woman.

Both of which Daytime hates.

I only made it through one episode of Tru Calling but that seemed to be the standard...

Not really, Eliza, Matt, Jason, and others all were fine. The material was cheesy, but they did fine. She was painful to watch.

I only watched the first episode but I thought Eliza was also off, which is too bad, as I enjoyed her work as Faith. It all seemed bad to me.

I have only ever really seen her in tru Calling, and man was she awful!

Maybe it was the writing or the character she was playing because she was fierce as all get out on Loving.

Thanks I couldn't remember. Actually Gayheart did indeed do both, first running over (and killing) a nine-year old at a school bus stop while breaking several traffic laws apparently and later came the threesome tape. What a sleazy actress, I'm surprised Y&R didn't try to hire her!

Pilot episodes always tend to be off for any series. Tru Callings was no different. It actually got pretty good towards the end of the first season and was amazing inthe second season. Unfortuntly, Fox delayed airing it and then messed with its timeslot and cancelled it midseason, which is the norm for them

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS' Sharon just may have a chance of staying out of jail -- in the form of her new attorney, Avery Bailey Clark, who's being played by daytime vet Jessica Collins (Dinah Lee, LOVING.) "I was always open to returning to daytime," the actress tells Soaps In Depth. "But it had to be for the right role. This one happened really quickly. Y&R called me and I read the part and I was interested in the character immediately. The timing was right. I felt this was a good fit for me."

Collins, who is on contract with the soap, had only taped about four episodes when she spoke to us, so she's still learning about Avery. We asked if she might be related to Matt Clark, the former Y&R bad boy, played by Eddie Cibrian, who raped Sharon. (Viewers were recently reminded of Matt in the July 4th Sharon-centric episode.) "That's the first I've heard of that," chuckles Collins about a Matt/Avery connection. I don't know much Eddie and I look alike but that's never stopped anything in daytime!"

Any familial dynamics Avery may -- or may not -- have will unfold over time. Meanwhile, there's a more pressing question: will Avery get Sharon's guilty verdict reversed? Collins hopes so. "These are the types of cases -- no pun intended -- that Avery lives for. She's dedicated her life to righting the wrongs of the system. She's started up an Innocence Project. She's not in it for the money. She's not a glamorous lawyer. She's a bit on the clunky side. I describe her more as a 'broad' than a lady."

Watch for Collins to make her Y&R debut on Wednesday, July 27.

Hmmm, so what if she is related to Matt? He died right? You think MAB could be resurrecting him, played again by Ric Hearst, who was dropped from contract on B&B recently?

OMG, I just realized her initials spell out ABC

I figured it out---she's Tucker's baby momma, and her daughter will turn out to be Hunter.
