Yes Darren and Destiny are no longer together. He tried to force her to make up with her grandparents and that caused the end of their dating.

with all of her talk about her fathers expectations for Vimal being gifted a with a prize like his daughter who probably wouldn't give a geek like him the time of day in normal circumstances.

It was, but one thing that was endearing about her was she clearly loved him despite this--maybe she grew to love him, which often happens. This new development, ONCE AGAIN under Carlivati's last little while, goes right against character. Argh!

I actually thought RH was very good in those scenes. Peculiar, strange, but good - in the way he used to be at his best, when he tried. He actually tried quite a lot in his last months at OLTL, when Malone came back, though ironically he also was rumored to have left because of Malone's return. He is not Laurence Olivier, but he is a fine actor, albeit perhaps limited, when he tries.

Speaking of Todds, I loved Marty terrorizing TSJ's with a gun and calling him "Toddy," and they did have that sick chemistry. While I wouldn't condone it, it almost makes me wonder if RC would've gone for pairing his fauxTodd with Marty had the show continued, since TSJ would technically no longer be her rapist (except he totally did rape Marty the second time). I don't think he'd have been able to resist.

I don't much like RH--or at least haven't since around 1995, but I totally agree with you. He made what was a pretty lame scene much more interesting.

I dunno though--it seemed like RC was doing his "let's make a character suddenly psycho and write them off that way" (mind you I've kept pretty clueless of spoilers so have no idea if Marty is leaving) thing with Marty already before the cancelation.

I wonder if KDP specifically asked them not to shoot her butt. The camera would quickly cut to another shot whenever she was about to turn around.

I guess I'm no better than a Ford or StarrJam fan or whatever as far as unpopular (?) opinions go, but I really like Dani. I think she's cute ("Aw, I'm your bff?" I know, I know! and to Deanna, "No job yet?"). KM is funny and charismatic sort of like how SMG was at her age. I think she has the potential to be great someday with the proper training.

I think SMG showed more potential, but she had so much more, and better material to play. (And as great as she was, I admit SMG was pretty green in some of her work).

I like Dani a lot too. When she yells itcan be a bit much, but I think the only reason the character holds any real interest is due to the actress. One of the few really talented younger actors on the show.

It's beyond lazy, writing wise, and just shows my biggest prob with RC--more than his love for newbies. How are soap fans meant to be invested when characterization turns so sharply on a dime--and without even the most pathetic McTavish-esque attempt at explaining it?

No--and anyway with One Life I seem to find out the spoilers despite myself (I have miraculously remained truly spoiler free with AMC something i've set as my goal until the bitter end now).

The thing re Destiny is I don't particularly care about any of those questions and answers--yet, if they want us to care about Destiny--and they seem to, and I could, despite so so, but improved, acting talent she has kinda grown on me--they need to invest in this stuff. That's what daytime dramas do that primetime largely can't--answer questions like that.
