Members EricMontreal22
Interesting, this era is a muddle for me, but it must be from whgen JFP was ghost headwriting (reportedly) after Pam Long left and before McTavish came in. Anna Cascio is listed first in the writers--and *Harding Lemay* is listed last--I didn't know he was credited on the show though I know he consulted (and I think has only had good things to say about JFP)...
Members EricMontreal22
I think I was the only one who prefered Dylan (even if he was a thankless role) over Patrick...
Members Cheap21
Nope, I did as well. One of the most memorable scenes in OLTL history. I love how it remixxed into the opening. The transition was really good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZCo_CFhcGc&feature=related Edited January 17, 2012 by Cheap21
Members DRW50
At the time I was mostly annoyed with the show again telling us how awesome Tea was. I wasn't watching all that much when both Patrick and Dylan were on but I think Dylan was more interesting when he was embittered and had the edge. In some ways I think he had the most potential after he and Marty split. I think he just ended up dating Linda (who sadly never had anything to do) and quietly leaving town.
Members EricMontreal22
I didn't even remember Linda till now. Yes, for whatever reason (I guess Luna was gone by then, and his other siblings who never did much?) they seemed to have no use for him after that triangle, which made me angry.
Members DRW50
Luna had been dead for almost a year. The other ones rarely appeared, aside from Ty, who was on before Dylan, and was played by Casper Van Dien.
Members EricMontreal22
Right I forgot about that--I remember some comic scenes between all the brothers at the Springs or somewhere but that seemed to be their only real purpose--and maybe a desire to have a group of younger hunks. Speaking of, queerty posted a tribute to the more often than not shirtless men of OLTL. Annoyingly it focuses mainly on the last little while where I found it beyond ridiculous, but... http://www.queerty.com/photos-the-shirtless-hunks-of-one-life-to-life-in-memoriam-20120116/

Members Cheap21
Not sure if I ever posted this in this thread, but here's the 2005 opening I tweaked with the old 80s theme. Its amazing how well it actually fits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxOItUeLN7M&feature=related
Members DRW50
That's great! I guess this is before Ilene was put on recurring. I liked Riley. You're right, it does fit, especially with Viki's last shot. Confession: I prefer the instrumental to Peabo's version.

Members Cheap21
That actress that played Sam, Julie Montgomery, in that picture looks like Kerry Butler who played Claudia to me
