It's probably my all time favorite soap set. So perfect for Erica. Plus, modern/contemporary architecture and furniture is my favorite anyway. Though if I lived there, Linden would still be in the gray and black theme like when Alex Hunter owned it.

Kendall's brother Trey burned down the house Erica lived in after Linden. Linden got remodeled in '94. The new set (and SL's new nose and face) debuted in the episode where Erica comes back to town and finds that Mona (who had been housesitting) has passed away in her sleep in an upstairs bedroom. Erica lived in the revamped Linden throughout the Jonathan Kinder debaucle and such. She left Linden for good when she reunited with Dimitri and retuned to Wildwind. In her last scene there, she turns around and smiles and says, "Bye bye Linden!" She later moves into a house that David Hayward buys her, a house that she walked by and admired each day after school, dreaming of owning a house just like it someday (AW fans have shared that Rachel had the exact same plot point in the '70s). That's the house that Trey burned down. She then moved into a penthouse, later moving into a house with Jack, then into a hotel suite, and ultimately, into a new penthouse.

No, you have it wrong. David did NOT buy her the Victorian house. Erica bought that after she and Jack broke up post-Mike Roy. But yes, she did love that house and always wanted to live in one like it. She lived there during the duration of her relationship with David, and that's where Bianca moved in when she came home in 2000.

Chris Stamp built her the Penthouse above Enchantment after the Victorian house burned down. She moved into Jack's apartment when they got married, and then into the house that Jack bought them at Christmas 2005. Then she lived in the Valley Inn for a long time, in a suite at Zach's casino hotel, at the Yacht Club, and eventually the modern penthouse we saw by the show's end.

Alex Hunter did NOT own Linden - Adam Chandler did. Erica and Jeremy were living in a smaller house that burned down in 1986 or 1987 when Natalie and Alex were staying with them. Adam, in an attempt to get back on Erica's good side, offered to sell her Linden. When she bought the property, it was initially in shades of gray, but Erica redid it in 80s mauve and pinks. The extensive remodels happened in between Erica's marriages to Dimitri. She still owned Linden as late as 1999 or so because she let Ryan and Gillian hide out there when Ryan was falsely accused of raping Jack's back-from-the-dead sister Kit. I guess she sold it at some point because if she did still own it, it would have made sense to move back in after the Victorian house burned.

I've been all nostalgic over Christmas for AMC and have been watching lots of youtube clips and stumbled upon this one channel that has many full episodes from the last golden era of AMC (1995-1997). Maybe you all are aware of this already (I have not been around this site much the last year or so).

One of the episodes I stumbled across last night was the Tad/Liza affair reveal at WRCW when Marian played the tape over the PA system. This particular user has the next two episodes as well. Thought I'd never see them again!

Really?? I'd love to see that scene. Erica was off the show for a noticeable amount of time before SL returned after Frances Heflin's death. I was in the 9th grade at the time so I didn't always catch the show, but I never saw a scene at the new Linden until that fateful day. Thanks for the info.

Some folks on the message boards called that house the bordelo. The rooms were painted in various bright colors (which was kinda "in" at the time). Actually, certain rooms and pieces of furniture reminded me of pictures from People photoshoots of SL's homes.

I was not a big fan of that photo portrait of Erica in the iconic Crystal Ball gown that hung above the mantle. Jeremy's painting of her was much better. My favorite memory of that house is Erica recieving the 19 bouquets of pink roses.

Speaking of the Crystal Ball gown which the first Erica Kane doll was dressed in, do you all remember that DirectTV commercial Susan did also wearing the gown? I have it saved on tape somewhere, it's cute.
