Deadline Hollywood Says AMC May Be A Goner

Frons doesn't love the soaps, he loves the paycheck and the power. Which makes me wonder, does his salary take a hit when/if a show is canceled under his watch? I mean...if not, then that's a perfect example of rewarding failure if I've ever seen one.

I'd rather the actors just not say anything, cause if it does happen it's gonna make them look like liars

Just a couple of days before Frons jetted into New York to drop the LA bomb Carruthers was telling cast and crew members, who were demanding answers about the Daytime Confidential report, that the show was not moving to LA.

All this does is make me think ABC is going to wait and announce the cancellation closer to AMC's end date. Which will result in even less time to wrap the show up in any sort of satisfactory way.

Seriously, what do you expect actors to do scream yeah we know AMC is in trouble or may be canceled? I would expect nothing less than actors to the finale singing the PR line.

He made actors take paycuts so he can give himself a raise.

You guys would still give them [!@#$%^&*], though. I mean, every single one of them could say nothing, and every one of them could Twitter that the show isn't being canceled, and you guys would STILL say the same thing. "Their silence means it is" "They're lying or in the dark".

I guess I think they're in a no win situation right now.

I get the feeling now that AMC isn't being canceled but the day is still very young on the West Coast for ABC to make an announcement. At this point though I don't feel its being canceled anymore the rumors sound too shaky and it shouldn't take this long for an announcement to be made. My thought was Wednesday would be the day for the announcement since this is the day ABC usually rolls out their press releases regarding daytime developments or hype for ratings for Thursday. SoapNet was canceled on a Wednesday also so if we get to the early evening hours without any announcements then this cancellation rumor stuff is beyond dead and whoever sent that stuff out needs to get bitch slapped. LOL!

Why is everyone expecting the news to break this early? The fall lineup announcements don't leak out until April anyways.

I think JHC called for a lockdown of the studio so as not to let Frons in the door. Reminds me of an episode of 24.

My question exactly. There seems to be some expectation that the news has to drop TODAY! NOW! THIS VERY MINUTE! or it's not true. I'm honestly not expecting to hear anything until next month. First quarter is first quarter.

Fans are being this way towards AMC actors because they along with soaps mags and this site all took part in the David is dead LIE!

I guess. I still just think it's unfair. But that's probably me still having my blinders on top of my head. LOL

Who knows? I'm just going on what people have stated that since the rumor is out there maybe ABC can close the door on it this week. Cancellations seem to always come out of the blue. ABC will probably likely make a formal announcement regarding their whole daytime block for the fall sometime before upfronts in May and we'll likely find out then especially if they are bringing in a new talk show.

The AOL article AND another (which IMO just basically copied that one) said their sources told them Monday or Tuesday, and nothing came. I know you guys will just say that person was wrong in what they were told, but I mean, they gave times and dates, and it didn't happen.

Actors I doubt would be given notice. How many bosses give people notice when they're terminated? Most just get a pink slip. It's not like they gave people notice with the move and even after they were barely given a few months
