Supposedly Clint Ritchie hated working with Barbara Luna and talked about how difficult she was.

Jessica Tuck and Joe Lando did not get along at first - at one point I think he brushed a piece of lint off her sweater and she slapped him.

Phillip Brown had not very nice things to say about her when SOD interviewed him during his Colbys run (this wasn't too long after Search). I can't remember but I think he might have said she was the most difficult person he'd worked with.

If I am mistaken I read that David Fumero and Melissa Archer did not get along toward the end of their pairing.

And didnt RKK and JB not get along on AW?

And from what I understand, not manty in the cast of Y&R like Diva Sharon Case.

British soap rumors and real stories:

Corrie:

There are rumors that Bev Callard and the man who plays her son, Simon Gregson, had a bad falling out over their mutual wedding plans. Whatever the reason, last November Bev vanished without a trace from Corrie during what was supposed to be a big story for her, and they had to rewrite and drop the whole thing.

Pat Phoenix refused to speak to Phillip Lowrie, who played her son, after she learned he was leaving the show.

Eastenders:

There were many rumors about Maggie O'Neil, who played Suzy Branning a few years ago, rumors that she got into big arguments with Diane Parish, Samantha Womack, and Rob Kazinsky, and that she had been rude to June Brown (one of the show's longest-running actors). Whatever the reason, she was abruptly written out, and they gave another character a year's worth of storyline that was supposed to go to her.

I believe Leslie Grantham (Den Watts) trashed Wendy Richards in some private comments that were leaked to the press during his nude webcam scandal.

Supposedly Jensen asked the show to drop her pairing with him.

He supposedly was really awful towards Sandra Ferguson the first time he was on AW.

That's interesting. I always thought she'd left by her own choice. I wonder if conflicts were the reason, since they didn't go younger or anything (Louise was younger but was usually dressed older in her career).

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
