Regis last night said he wasn't retiring, just quitting Live. He wanted to clear it up cause people keep saying he's retiring and he's not

I thought he was awful, Always. During the host chat, it was Kelly basically asking him questions about himself. I'm looking forward to Psycho Mike tomorrow.

I thought that was a good sign though - like she wanted the audience and herself to get to know him! I just thought he was funny with his one-liners and all the violin music....

He at least didn't seem nervous like the first guy.

I actually thought he was nervous. At least with the first two guys from Mon/Tues they interacted with Kelly, bringing up things in the news and topics. This Bobby Bones guy was basically letting Kelly ask him questions.

Bryant Gumbel is a polarizing personality.

I was thinking Bill Weir. He strikes the right balance of silliness and seriousness. He's not too young or too old and I think can grow with the show over the next few years.

I was thinking Bill Weir. He strikes the right balance of silliness and seriousness. He's not too young or too old and I think can grow with the show over the next few years.

I'm IN LOVE with Bill Weir! Keep him where he is and put someone else on the Titanic.

Not even if Cam was living in NY. He doesn't have the experience nor does he bring viewers in. He would run that show into the ground and both he and Kelly would be out of work.

ABC/Disney Domestic Television doesn't syndicate Live. Buena Vista does. Two different entities. Trust me on this.

On Christmas Eve, Rachel was at the house to clean up and redecorate the house after Aunt Liz’s Christmas tree had started a fire in the house on the previous Friday cliffhanger. Mark Singleton was in a wheelchair and walked when he saved someone in the house from the fire. I’m thinking it might have been Kevin Thatcher he rescued.

Thank you for posting this. So respectful that they mentioned Winston Grimsley during one of the final episodes. And of course, mentioning the surname Capice, which hadn't been spoken in a script for at least a decade, was also very meaningful to long-term fans. I'm a bit surprised no mention was made of Phoebe Marceau, since Laurie Ann and Phoebe had been teen-age and young adult friends. Still, a nice tribute to the past in Monticello.

Harley always had a job--waitress, resale shop, nanny, cop (did she want to be a fashion designer, or just be in business with Mindy?) and probably a few I'm forgetting. Even if, like most characters, she spent more time away from the job than at the job.
Reva only "wanted" a job between men. And no, I don't think they ever brought up her photography again.
I've seen a number of actresses I thought would be big, but then weren't. And then opposite is true too--I certainly never saw Melina Kanakardes being so successful. Or Julianne Moore, or Marisa Tomei.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Victoria Wyndham, who took over for Robin Strasser as Rachel on AW. She and George Reinholt had serious chemistry. But then Harding Lemay decided he didn't like him and killed him off. But Wyndham then had lots of chemistry with Doug Watson. In fact, she had chemistry with pretty much everyone they put her with.
Trying really hard to think of another example and I just can't.

Hold on...after she and Josh broke up after Marah was born, circa 1986-87, she 1) "worked" as a photographer and 2) became Alan's "assistant."
I don't think I need to explain the quotes, LOL.
Did they EVER mention her photography again?
They kind of did the same thing with Harley, where she was a supposedly an ambitious fledgling fashion designer. That got dropped and then she became a cop--a totally believable employment trajectory. 😂 But at least Harley had identifiable employment.
He ended up being RJ Winslow. I guess Richard adopted him.
Liz has talked about how hard a time she had being accepted by the fans after Stringfield left.
I thought she was fine, but fans loved Stringfield. But I don't know how anyone could have believed, even at the time, that she was going to stay on a soap opera for more than a couple of years.

Same! I just saw that name and immediately thought 'she left Y&R???' Damn. But yep. Y&R's loss is against another show's gain.

And I was coming here to see if anyone had the tea. I didn't know at all that Kay Alden had been grooming her. Which makes it even more sad for how current Y&R is now. But good because Natalie knows how to pace.
