In one of the 1990 episodes recently uploaded to Youtube, Peter Brown plays a prosecutor in Danny's drug trial. Was he playing the same character he played in 1982? Bell usually didn't cast actors who had been fairly prominent in other Y&R roles, did he?

I've seen somewhere a credit listing for Brown in the role of Robert in 1990, but I thought it was highly unlikely much like the debatable credit for Kerry Leigh Michaels as Faren in 1991. Otherwise generally no with the prominent exceptions of Quinn Redeker and Veleka Gray(a story by itself of course)

True not to mention Brown went on B&B as Taylor's dead husband right? I guess it was a quickie role and I wonder how many by 1990 had forgotten Brown's previous role back in 1982 since the Laurences didn't have much of an impact and Bell wrote them off.

For Days its strangely commonplace but for Y&R it is a little odd. I guess last year's temp casting of Jeffery with Kin Shriner is the only other example I can think of.

I don't recall Brown at that time but he probably played the same character. It would be quite likely that Robert would be around to defend Danny.

Bell had worked with Brown on Days and B&B,and knew he could handle the role and Brown needed work, so it worked out for all.

Redecker had also played a lawyer earlier on Y&R.I think in the Chris Brooks rape trial,

Wow, I can't really picture KKL playing someone on Y&R (Even though she came on as Brooke a few times) even if it was for a short time.

What was her character like, and who did she have scenes with?

Thanks for clearing up the Peter Brown thing Deeedee. I don't know why but I thought Brown was Earl.

His social media/IMDb doesn't have his age but from some posts he's made, I'm guessing 1989 is his birth year.
    • Here's the timeline, as I recall it being published. The WGA strike was 5/2–9/27/2023 Annalynne McCord was announced as being hired in December 2023, for a one-year contract https://deadline.com/2024/06/days-of-our-lives-when-to-expect-annalynne-mccord-peacock-1235975806/ RonC's first scripts back from the strike began airing May 31, 2024 (around Konstantine & Maggie's wedding) https://www.tvinsider.com/1137709/days-of-our-lives-writers-return-15000th-episode-storylines/ Her first air date was June 19th 2024. The actress has said she was not told who she would be playing until she started taping. RonC 's replacements were announced July 2024, with his scripts airing through April 2025 Side note: DAYS social media team seems to be playing fast and loose with BTS videos, in terms of how far in advance they film content (e.g. their April Fools' Joke videos were clearly not filmed on 4/1/25), so we shouldn't assume anyone's current status, versus those who were there nine months ago.
    • April and her husband (Draper) are the "young leads" who tie all the storyline threads together.  They're normally in the center of the action.  In this particular storyline, Draper is the attorney who represents Paige Madison.  (The district attorney, Logan Swift, has given Paige Madison "temporary immunity from prosecution" if she will lead the police to the members of the Tobias Gang who stole the firearms.  But Paige mainly just ducks bullets from various gang members who pop-up to assassinate her.)
    • It's one thing to post about a soap's rumors or gossip, which in point of fact we've all done. It's another to present yourself as the inside source who knows something to be fact that's about to break wide, then backtrack and call it just Twitter speculation. Between those two extreme poles you have to commit to one or the other. If I got something wrong, I'd say it. (Nor would I keep playing insider after what I pulled with Drake Hogestyn, which should've gotten someone permanently banned.) And regardless, you don't open with this 'news' you don't actually want to stand by yet by mocking DRW's extremely valid concerns re: how the Trina character and Tabyana Ali has been marginalized and put out to virtual pasture ever since the day NAC left. Her playing out her current contract in a C-storyline with Kai does not change that.
    • Yeah, I thought it would be more explosive or heated and it was kind of standard.  Both can do more with the material.  I just don't think the writing was there.
