NO MORE CALLS, WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

(Seriously, how sad is it that the royal families have our attentions now more than the soaps, lol?)

Which daughter is this one??

Whoever she is, she looks either scared for her life or stoned out of her mind.

And the guy she's standing next to? Some "bro" from college who just groped her.

The funny thing is, I think the Brits care more about their soaps than they do about the Royal family or matters of government.

I remember the big public outrage last year when an episode of EastEnders was preempted to cover the changeover in Parliament...

That's probably b/c they understand only too well what "outsiders" keep forgetting: the "royal family" has no real power w/in government anymore. Of course, if this were still the 1600's, no way would Wills be able to marry a "commoner" such as Kate, lol.

You know, as badly as James Middleton is coming across in these photos, I'm willing to concede they only look bad in light of his sister's marriage. Otherwise, remove that factor, and his photos are no more or less embarrassing than your average frat boy's.

When my grandma was visiting me in Newcastle last year, somehow she and our very nice Geordie taxi driver got onto the subject of the Royal's. He wasn't all that old I don't think, maybe 40's or 50's and he gave her such a sermon on his loathing of the Royal family, well, more so the Monarchy.

Cue the end of the conversation and my grandma asking me what he said, because the Geordie accent is hard to understand if you're not used to it:

Grandma when we get out of the taxi "What did he say?"

Me: "Um, I don't feel comfortable repeating what he said." (And I curse like a sailor!)

It'll be interesting to see how the British people feel about all of this in a few months, when they're back to reality and life is kicking them in the gut.
