Members ThePrinceOfSunspear
Sad...I feel like so much should happen and so many of my favorite characters are still so unhappy or just in limbo.

Members ThePrinceOfSunspear
Are you in the UK? It's airing right now there....the first episode was so tinged with melancholy and everything that makes the show great. The second was good but not great. I'm so devastated this show is leaving us so soon. And I just want Thomas to find true happiness for the love of all that is holy.

Members I Am A Swede
The last season started here in Sweden last Saturday. I'm a bit sad that the end is near, but at the same time I think they made the right decision. If it had gone on longer I fear the quality would have dropped. Members I Am A Swede
The last regular episode aired here this weekend. Now there's only a Christmas special and then it's over..... The last episode did give me something I've wanted for a long time though....
Members I Am A Swede
It's over. The last episode, the Christmas special, aired here on Boxing Day. Without revealing too much it's safe to say that it was a very feel-good episode, as episodes like this usually are. But it was a worthy end to a wonderful show. Members ThePrinceOfSunspear
Aside from what they did (or not I should say) with Thomas I thought it was excellent! The little moments like the one at the end with the Dowager and Cora really choked me up for some reason.
Members DaytimeFan
I watched the Christmas special. All I can say is this: it was everything I wanted it to be. The perfect ending for a wonderful series.

Members DAMfan
Poor Grandpa Donk is sure having a rough and gross time, Mary's light bulb moment about Marigold can not be good - also congrats to Downton Abbey Cast Wins Best Ensemble in a TV Drama at the 2016 SAG Awards. Members Juliajms
Yeah, that was pretty awful. Plus, the reactions people had were odd. Stiff upper lip and all, but I'm pretty sure If I were Cora or Violet I would have been freaking the f**k out. Obviously, I'm still watching, but Downton hasn't been the same for me since Matthew left. The people Mary and Edith are dating feel like cardboard characters to me. Members P.J.
I think much of the season simply limped along. That said, it was satisfying to finally see Mary get called out by both Tom and Edith. It amazes me how much Edith has grown and developed as a character, while Mary is still the cold, stuck up bitch she was on day one.
Members Juliajms
I wish Mary had mentioned Edith trying to ruin her over the Pemuk scandal. Edith could have legitimatly come back and said that the difference is that she had changed, but it felt false to me that Mary wouldn't bring that up, no matter how long it's been. Anyway, I agree that show is limping along. I'm glad to see some of these characters get their happy endings, but the last few seasons just haven't been the same.
