Members Llantano Incorporated
Wow. Dena wrote OLTL for 3 years! I stopped watching a few months into her tenure and never tuned in again until she left..
Members TC
I saw it all. You did the right thing. I'm convinced she is some kind of Petro-pyromaniac. Didn't one of her "cereal" killers deep-fry a waitress's head and then do some Joan of Arc BBQ thing for July 4th? Turned out John McAnachronism went running for the white meat first, I believe. Members DRW50
This is Wikipedia's list. They say Schnessel ended in July 90 (I don't know if that's when he passed away or when his work finished airing). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Life_to_Live#Head_writers
Members FrenchFan
The Wikipedia list is quite wrong indeed.
Members EricMontreal22
Agnes Nixon wrote until 1972 at least (I think maybe 73?) but wasn't she credited with two other people for her stint, somewhat oddly? OK I looked Wiki's list up and compared it to Schemering and Waggert's-and I think they're right for the early stuff: September 1973 to October 1978: Gordon Russell August 1972 to September 1973: Agnes Nixon Gordon Russell July 1968 to July 1972: Agnes Nixon Paul Roberts Don Wallace
Administrator Toups Posted August 18, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted August 18, 2010 FrenchFan and Eric, are those months air dates or when they joined behind the scenes?

Members FrenchFan
Good questions Toups. I used old articles found in newspaper for my list so it's not very very precise about the date. I will try to check again but I'm quite sure Slesar joined in April 1983, I have read this somewhere.
Members LoyaltoAMC
So Agnes pulled double duty on OLTL and AMC from 1970 to 1973? I'd think launching AMC in 1970 would've entailed her stepping back from OLTL in 1969, much as she stepped back from AMC in 1983 while attempting to launch Loving. Members FrenchFan
Agnes was credited but she was not very involved in the writing process as she had co-HWs.
Members Llantano Incorporated
All I remember is the godawful Evangeline and John took over the show and I was done. I don't know what it was about those characters and the actors who played them, but I have never disliked two people on television as much as those two. The show was like watching paint dry. Completely empty to me.
