I agree with everything said above re: Caleb/Sonia/Miguel/

. I'm glad this wasn't dropped and Mayor Blanco being somehow involved would be icing on the cake. I do miss Adam and the showdowns with Caleb would have been nice (if not predictable), but at least his essence is being carried on. He's not dead of course, but he's a strong Victor Lord-like presence on this show, as long as there's an AMC we will always be reminded of Adam through all of the family and relationships he's left behind. That wasn't meant to sound as sappy as it did, just a realistic take on the cast at hand.

Greenlee: Ryan took care of me. -_-

Burn. <_< And speaking of which...

Angie's cooking dinner :o ? My first thought was:

That was really nice how Jake saved her like that. I hope and pray that she doesn't develop some weird dependancy crush on Jake though.

I'm not a big Frankie/Madison proponent like a lot of you, but there is an interesting sense of a weight having been lifted with Randi out of town. She's gorgeous and has been improving so I doubt that they'd write her out (for now), but I could totally see them sending her to Paris again, for good. We've tossed arund differenct scenarious before and I still have a hard time seeing them write another relationship for her, at least not anything more prominent than Natalia and Brot.

I thought that Angie looked pretty today. I liked the top that she was wearing, I thought it was slimming on her.

I also think that Miguel might be Caleb's son and I would prefer that to Miguel being Adam's song. I never did see the reasoning behind giving Adam a new teenage son, around the time that DC was preparing to leave the show. And then not even having that son show up to save JR.

I had thought that was a waste of a storyline, but if they end up making Miguel Caleb's son, I think that would be fine. It would tie up a loose end to a storyline, and give him another connection. Also I am not sure if Sonya is really dead or not or if Caleb just thinks that.

When Adam mentioned her it seemed like she was still alive to Adam's knowledge. So maybe Sonya pretended to be dead or Caleb thought she was, when all along she was somewhere raising her son with Caleb.

I enjoyed today's scenes with Erica/Caleb, he did seem a bit softer today.

Weren't Frankie and Madison having pizza last episode. Now, Madison is commenting on how he's having cereal for dinner.

I like Caleb because he in some ways fits the mold of the quirky, larger than life characters All My Children is known for creating. Agnes must be writing his storyline.

Let's play a drinking game. Anytime anyone says "up on that mountain" take a shot.

Frankie has takeout menus now! How much does this guy eat?

I was so impressed by Michael Nouri today as Caleb! When the tears started welling up in his eyes, and he was just dead silent sitting there, amazing! I like how Caleb can be so mean, nasty, grim, and at the same time be vulnerable and let other people see his heart. All that added with the fact that he's a great judge of character, witty, and intelligent at the same time. All around he is a great character!

David/Greenlee kill me. You can tell how much David loves Greenlee, and she just doesn't see it or even feel the slightest the same. Sucks because I really like them together.

Angie storyline is still rocking. Omg when she was preparing dinner and then knocked over everything sad.gif just to much, the look on her face! And when she couldn't read the schedule at the hospital! I can't wait until David finds out about this.

I see what your saying and I agree. At least his spirit is being carried on, and I think the same goes for Palmer. I'm glad the show is still keeping their forces within PV. They are still going strong.

If Mayor Blanco is involved with Caleb/Miguel/Sonya somehow, I would love it!! Thanks Cheap21 for reminding me about Tad visiting Sonia a while ago. Hm Mayor Blanco could turn out to be Sonya's sister or something though, and her and Caleb knew each other from back then. Maybe we'll see them run into each other soon... And when

arrives maybe we'll see them have a mysterious interaction, and thats how everything will start to unfold regarding Miguel. All this stuff with characters we barely even know about, but for some reason I don't think I would mind it that much. LOL. All speculation on my part, but thats what I want to see, somewhat.

We have lawyers again! For the longest time it seemed as if Liza was the only lawyer in town. Everyone hired her by default bc she was the only one in town with experience. Now Jack is back on the show, Caleb is revealed to be a lawyer and Marissa is about to take her bar exam and be one. Thats 4 lawyers in town. Should make for some interesting court room drama going into the future between them

When I think of the name Sonia, Im reminded of Erica's fake adopted Russian baby

Just to clarify, Cheap means when Erica kidnapped Maria's baby and called it her own!

"Erica's faked adopted Russian baby" sounded so convoluted, even I was like... "WTF?!"

When I hear Sonia, I think of Sonia and Buzz... the two grandchildren that disappeared from the sitcom "Mama's Family."

I haven't been all that fond of Caleb but, wow, Nouri did some riveting work with that scene! And I didn't see the lawyer stuff coming at all, nice twist. But I still don't like him with Erica. This reminds me of the Sam Woods situation. They bring on someone for Erica without bothering to see if there's any real chemistry and it blows up.

Ah Cornelius! Everytime I think I couldn't love this guy more he just lights up the screen for me. Frankie's cold shoulder to Ryan was nice and he has such perfect chemistry with Debbi and Darnell. "You betta shame the devil!"

I don't know what they're doing with David. On minute he's being a dick to Angie, then Greenlee is making a punk of him. I'm torn on the guy and I kind of like it. I hope that eventually Angie and David form the kind of frenemies relationship he used to have with Erica.

I had to laugh at David telling Jesse to find something to do besides hang out at work with Angie when David does the exact same thing at Fusion with Greenlee.

    • I also do not like the bits I've seen with Delia during Labine's 83 return. I am glad when she came back for the last time in 1986, she allowed Delia to move on from Frank.
    • Thanks for the well-detailed reply. I'm fairly early in my viewing, so I have some time before it goes nuts. Thanks a lot! @kalbir and @DRW50 thank you so much. I am just approaching 100 episodes, so I'm good for now.
    • The Duprees as the main family isn't the problem, but the fact is that over 3/4 of the cast are Duprees.. so it limits coupling potential and also keeps the canvas too closed in. Too many female Duprees and no hetero, nor gay, male Duprees is also a problem.   I also agree with @DemetriKanethat the male characters are one note, and not very layered/interesting... outside of Bill, that is. To me, I would have focused on either Nicole's family and dynamics or Dani's family and dynamics instead of trying to introduce/develop both families at the same time.  Nicole's family is more developed and interesting with loads of storyline possiblities then Dani's family right now. And because MVJ and co decided to feature so many Duprees... we're less likely to be free of any outside characters like Ashley/Derek since they're the non-Dupree part of the canvas.
    • BTG: A B&B: B DAYS: B+ GH: A- Y&R: C-
    • I can not see Kat as a police officer and do not want that for her. Thats not her passion nor does she care about that stuff. The stuff with Eva and Leslie is specific to her life and wanting to protect her family. Her "detective" skills have more to do with her business background, which makes her very analytical and pay close attention to details. If this show had a corporation, she'd make a shrewed businesswoman and CEO I definitely dont want to see her sleep with her cousin's husband. That would be too much of a Hayley redux which ironically you dont want with the Sharon/Hayley theory
    • I would make Jan, Ashley's mom, Anita and Vernon's maid. It would lock in to why Leslie would choose to befriend both her and Mona. It also gives Ashley a connection to the Duprees and explains how she befriended Naomi. I would have had Derek start the show as a cop to explain his connection to Jacob. Kat needs to realize that she is MADE to be a detective. Have her go through police training, making the appropriate comments about the uniform along the way. Have her prove she is so much more than a rich princess, even to herself. Then, when Jacob's partner is proven to be dirty, Kat is assigned as Jacob's rookie trainee. At the same time, Naomi does finally get a case she can follow through on. Her client is a person that Jacob arrested. This puts them at odds because Jacob knows this person did it, as does Kat, but Naomi only sees the extenuating circumstances and believes he deserves a lighter sentence and a second chance. THAT is when Jacob will turn to Kat in frustration and she will lose her virginity to him.
    • This opened my eyes and appeals to my logic. But, don't you also think that the fact that they are so ill-suited means that, by soap-opera-laws, they aren't a long term item?  I like how Belle is written now, so I appreciate the fact that she is in this story.  But, I don't believe anything will become of it, and I think EJ is going to mess it up very soon.  Which explains why I don't get too worked up over it. I'm also suspending my outrage until I see how EJ treats Belle during her mourning.  If he cheats with Cat, then we'll know that he was never meant to be happy.
    • Kristen also raped John post-Paris with a Magic Mirror.  Her pregnancy was "delicate" and they couldn't be intimate.  She had already lost the baby, needed to get pregnant immediately again and set a Stefano tricked out Magic Mirror to hypnotize John and John thought he was  having sex with Marlena.  John woke up the next day and thought it was a dream.
    • The show is only a few months in and still finding it's footing. I'm hoping MVJ has years of story in place for these characters and will pretty much stick to that plan (obviously with tweaking along the way) I do have some issues with the initial structure. Making the Duprees the centerpiece and not having a male with that name. Making Martin Vernon and Anita's would have solved that and made the age of the character more appropriate. I agree about not having a young couple in the beginnings of a romance. And having too many married couples. Jacob and Naomi could be just living together. That makes the possibility of other relationships more viable than within a marriage. Same with Smitty/Martin. Having them married with kids limits the story especially in terms of them as a gay couple.  The white characters existing in another universe is also a problem. That ties in with the workplace/job issues. I don't think they needed the hospital-instead the police station/real estate office or Martin's workplace could have utilized and have Derek/Ashley/Vanessa/Smitty/Shanice etc working and interacting there. ATM too many characters are meeting up in cafes etc-we're not seeing them at work. We needed to see more of how various characters interact eg Jacob/Bill, Ted/Bill. There were a lot of extended family scenes but there should be more one on one to get a sense of character and family dynamics. Leslie is a great character but her bag of tricks is getting over exposed. I would hate that she is kept on and other character's made to look like idiots by accepting her presence. They'll need some good writing and twists to keep her around. We can only hope some of the lesser actors improve as I don't want too many recasts or writeouts. So it's early days and I look forward to seeing the show evolve. And give the Duprees some staff!
    • Thanks. I barely remember any of the backstory there, just his ties to her parents. It was all so convoluted, everything with Tangie.
