All- Times when age differences (Or lack of) affected your enjoyment of the show?

At the time I remember the interview got quite a laugh. I mean Keith Hamilton Cobb said some of the same stuff but at least he was actually a big name on AMC and he did go on to a few things later on. Pilgrim was in Red Shoe Diaries, before GL (and probably didn't even show off a hot bod the way the later, dull Jim Lemay/Anthony Abaddo did on RSD), and after GL, not a whole lot.

I remember the scenes where he took Michelle to the lighthouse where Brent was holding Lucy (they didn't know Brent and Lucy were there) and J actually creeped me out more than Brent.

Of course then later on GL decided to just be stupid and have Daisy Lemay come back to the show as a 16 year old, even though she was born 20 years before that, and then had Leah as an 18 year old, even though she was born in 2002!!

I remember Rebecca Budig and Brent and Lucy on GL but I don't remember this guy. He looks really familiar though, kind of like the kid from Lois and Clark, or the guy who used to play Daniel on YR before the current guy.

I got another one. As much as I like Ashley Jones as Bridget on B&B, she looks too old for the role. I dont find her scenes with Rick believable bc she looks older than him when she should be playing his younger sister. She also looks the same age as her aunt Katie.

Y&R's Adam. Why is he about as old as Nick? He was SORASED to high

Y&R's Victoria. I hate that she keeps marrying people that are like 2 teen scenes below her. Why was she with JT and Billy? They make her so immature and silly that she looks ridiculous hooking up with these boys. The age difference doesnt even factor and they act like its nothing. She should be with someone her own age or older, not regressing as if she hasnt aged

You make a great point. Many soaps scramble up their teen scene with their late-20's and early 30-something characters once the aforementioned teen scene becomes legal to drink. The Y&R couplings you mention are perfect. Some other ones are: DAYS's Lucas/Chloe, Phillip/Melanie, GL's Shayne/Dinah, Bill/Lizzie, etc.

While recently getting back into B&B again, I laughed when I heard Hope reference the fact that her mother Brooke slept with Bridget's husband Deacon which resulted in Hope's very existence. That makes Bridget 40? And Brooke 65? It's hilarious how quickly they age the kids on B&B.

Oh...the Parker/Libby, Mick Hazen/Meredith Hagner thing really creeped my out. I remember going to a couple of other boards and arguing about that story. I thought it was skeevy to throw a kid in bed with an adult, whether or not it was "handled discreetly" or not.

And then there was Emily and Casey, going at it like porn stars on every flat surface. No offense to KMH, but Casey is hot. He could get a ton of tail...he didn't need to be doing one of his dad's old conquests.

I liked Casey and Emily. I thought they ended them too soon.

I'm not usually that bothered by age differences in romances except for sometimes when the younger person is in their teens or when the older person is old enough to be the grandparent of the person they are seeing.

I know what you mean. They once dated Sami's age with one of those mentions, Sami mentioned she kidnapped Belle when she was 16 and then like the same episode Belle mentioned she was 21, which would make Sami 37 years old!

When EJ came on I pretty much assumed he was going to be Benji. Then Benji came so I assumed he had to be the long lost son of Tony and Anna. So much for that...

I know SORASing often gets a bad rap but there are times when its necesary. It always bothered me on AMC how the show refused to SORAS Petey. . I thought it was so ridiculous how Palmer was in his 80s and Opal near 60 walking around with a 10 yr old kid. SORAS him damn it! It was worse bc they were SORASing all the other kids around him. He was born a year after his nephew Jamie but they went made Jamie 21, whiel keeping Petey about 11. WTF? Were they scared of making Opal and Palmer appear old?

Ryan's Hope - The 40-something Seneca with barely legal Kimberly was just gross. On top of it, she was so damned annoying! Didn't like the reverse scenario either - Rae and Michael Pavel. I also remember being very creeped out by Roger's obsession with Maggie Shelby, like a wolf and lamb deal. I'm not sure of their age difference but Roger gave off a "dirty old man" vibe even though he wasn't that old.

GL - I'm probably in the minority on this one but Joie Lenz turned 18 while she played Michelle (and acted it) and she just came across so juvenile to me opposite PAS. Everybody seemed to love the two of them together but all I saw was a pouty girl. On GH, there had been a similar age difference and age parallels when Luke & Laura started out yet, somehow, Laura seemed a little older.

Also, Nadine as Frank's mother was a stretch.

OLTL - Asa had a penchant for younger women. He was with Mimi when I first started watching, and soon after with Samantha, Delilah, etc. Bo and Asa sharing women had a bit of a yuck factor.

Last week they had a scene with Chloe was lecturing Abby like she was her older sister or something. But the scene did not really work for me since they look the same exact age and it made Abby look kind of slow if someone her age is talking to her like she is 17.
